Abstract

Knowledge Management sekarang tidak lagi menjadi hal yang asing dalam dunia industri bisnis. Knowledge Management berkaitan dengan eksploitasi dan pengembangan aset pengetahuan perusahaan dengan maksud untuk memajukan tujuan perusahaan. Hal ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam dunia bisnis perusahaan, termasuk bidang konstruksi. Kondisi ini ditunjukkan dengan pertumbuhan sektor konstruksi yang meningkat dari tahun 2020 ke 2021 sebesar 27,68%. Jumlah perusahaan/usaha konstruksi di Provinsi Jawa Timur sejumlah 24.596 perusahaan atau sebesar 12,09 % dari jumlah perusahaan konstruksi total nasional yang mencapai 203.403 perusahaan. Hal ini menjadikan Jawa Timur memiliki perusahaan konstruksi yang terbanyak diantara seluruh wilayah provinsi di Indonesia Peningkatan ini menjadikan perusahaan konstruksi di Jawa Timur harus saling bersaing agar perusahaan dapat berkelanjutan. Persaingan tersebut tidak terlepas dari bagaimana perusahaan mengedepankan mutu. Peningkatan mutu dapat dilakukan dengan penerapan Knowledge Management. Hal ini didukung dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menyatakan bahwa Knowledge Management memiliki hubungan siginifikan terhadap Quality Management. Namun, dari hasil penelitian yang ada, masih terdapat perbedaan atau terjadi inkonsisten hasil dalam pengaruh Knowledge Management. Dapat diindikasikan bahwa hal tersebut terjadi karena Knowledge Management Process terhalang oleh Organizational Culture yang berlaku. Dari Penelitian ini menambahkan Organizational Culture sebagai variabel moderating pada pengaruh Knowledge Management terhadap Quality Management dalam sektor konstruksi. Dalam penelitian ini, kuesioner dibagikan kepada praktisi di 26 perusahaan konstruksi kelas besar di Jawa Timur. Lingkup kerja yang dianalisis adalah bagaimana penerapan Knowledge Management, Organizational Culture, dan Quality Management pada Perusahaan konstruksi kelas besar di Jawa Timur. Penerapan tersebut dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif, dimana selanjutnya dibagi menjadi beberapa kelas dalam implementasi ketiga variabel yang telah disebutkan. Faktor Knowledge Management, yaitu technology solutions, policy/strategy structure, dan application berada pada tingkat penerapan 3 yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor tersebut belum diimplementasikan secara penuh. Lalu, faktor knowledge culture, acquisition, conversion, dan protection berada pada tingkat penerapan 4 yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor tersebut telah diimplementasikan secara penuh. Selanjutnya, faktor Quality Management, yaitu customer focus, leadership, continual improvement, process approach, systems approach to management, people involvement, factual approach to decision making, dan mutually beneficial supplier relationships berada pada tingkat penerapan 4 yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor tersebut telah diimplementasikan secara penuh. Lalu, faktor Organizational Culture, employee participation, innovation orientation, reward orientation, dan team orientation berada pada tingkat penerapan 3 yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor tersebut belum diimplementasikan secara penuh. Sedangkan, faktor performance emphasis berada pada tingkat penerapan 4 yang menunjukkan bahwa faktor tersebut telah diimplementasikan secara penuh. Untuk menguji hubungan antara Knowledge Management, Organizational Culture, dan Quality Management digunakan software SmartPLS v.4. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa uji R Square bernilai sebesar 0,63. Hal ini mengartikan bahwa variabel quality management mampu dijelaskan oleh variabel knowledge management dan organizational culture sebesar 63%. Hasil uji R Square dapat pula dikatakan sebagai kontribusi variabel knowledge management dan organizational culture terhadap variabel quality management sebesar 63%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 37% merupakan kontribusi faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Selanjutnya, Pengaruh knowledge management terhadap quality management memiliki hubungan yang signifikan, dimana didapatkan hasil pengujian dengan nilai tstatistic sebesar 2,923 dan p-values sebesar 0,003. Untuk pengaruh organizational culture terhadap quality management juga memiliki hubungan yang signifikan, dimana didapatkan hasil pengujian dengan nilai t-statistic sebesar 6,178 dan p-values 0. Namun, pengaruh organizational culture dalam memoderasi hubungan antara knowledge management terhadap quality management menghasilkan nilai t-statistic dan p-values kurang dari kriteria, dimana nilai t-statistic 0,354 < 1,96 dan p-values 0,723 > 0,05. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwasanya organizational culture tidak memoderasi secara penuh atau tidak berpengaruh dalam memperkuat atau memperlemah hubungan antara knowledge management terhadap quality management. Hal ini dapat dikarenakan oleh kondisi organizational culture pada perusahaan konstruksi kelas besar di Jawa Timur yang masih belum diterapkan secara penuh.

English Abstract

Knowledge Management is now no longer something strange in the world of the business industry. Knowledge Management is concerned with the exploitation and development of a company's knowledge assets to advance company goals. This is a challenge in itself in the corporate business world, including the construction sector. This condition is demonstrated by the growth of the construction sector which increased from 2020 to 2021 by 27.68%. The number of construction companies/businesses in East Java Province is 24,596 companies or 12.09% of the national total number of construction companies which reached 203,403 companies. This makes East Java have the most construction companies among all provinces in Indonesia. Construction companies in East Java must compete with each other so that the company can be sustainable. This competition cannot be separated from how companies prioritize quality. Quality improvement can be done by implementing Knowledge Management. This is supported by previous study which states that Knowledge Management has a significant relationship with Quality Management. However, from the results of existing research, there are still differences or inconsistent results regarding the influence of Knowledge Management. It can be indicated that this happened because the Knowledge Management Process was hindered by the prevailing Organizational Culture. Following previous research, Organizational Culture is added as a moderating variable on the influence of Knowledge Management on Quality Management in the construction sector. In this research, questionnaires were distributed to practitioners at 26 large-size construction companies in East Java. The scope of work analyzed is how Knowledge Management, Organizational Culture and Quality Management are implemented in large-size construction companies in East Java. This implementation was analyzed using descriptive methods, which are divided into several classes in the implementation of the three variables mentioned. Knowledge Management dimensions, namely technology solutions, policy/strategy structure, and application are at implementation level 3, which indicates that these dimensions are not fully implemented. Then, the knowledge culture, acquisition, conversion, and protection factors are at implementation level 4, which indicates that these factors have been fully implemented. Furthermore, Quality Management dimensions, namely customer focus, leadership, continuous improvement, process approach, systems approach to management, people involvement, factual approach to decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships are at implementation level 4 which indicates that these dimensions have been fully implemented. Then, the dimensions of Organizational Culture, namely employee participation, innovation orientation, reward orientation, and team orientation are at implementation level 3, which indicates that these dimensions are not fully implemented. Meanwhile, the performance emphasis factor is at implementation level 4, which indicates that this dimension has been fully implemented. In order to test the relationship between Knowledge Management, Organizational Culture, and Quality Management, SmartPLS v.4 software was used. The results obtained were that the R Square test had a value of 0.63. This means that the Quality Management variable can be explained by the Knowledge Management and Organizational Culture variables by 63%. The contribution of the Knowledge Management and Organizational Culture variables to the quality management variable of 63%, while the remaining 37% is the contribution of other factors are not mentioned in this research. Furthermore, the influence of Knowledge Management towards Quality Management has a significant relationship, where test results were obtained with a t-statistic value of 2.923 and p-values of 0.003. The influence of Organizational Culture towards Quality Management also has a significant relationship, where test results were obtained with a t-statistic value of 6.178 and p-values 0. However, the influence of Organizational Culture in moderating the relationship between Knowledge Management and Quality Management produces t-statistic values and p-values are less than the criteria, where the t-statistic value is 0.354 < 1.96 and p-values 0.723 > 0.05. The result indicates that Organizational Culture does not fully moderate or has no effect in strengthening or weakening the relationship between Knowledge Management and Quality Management. This could be due to the organizational culture conditions in large-size construction companies in East Java which are still not fully implemented.
