Abstract

Kafe Sarijan memiliki 3 tempat kafe dengan lokasi yang berbeda dan pengunjung yang cukup banyak. Fasilitas yang ada di kafe ini salah satunya adalah wifi. Semakin banyak jumlah pengunjung kafe maka dapat berpengaruh pada kecepatan internet yang menjadi lambat jaringan internet wifi yang tidal stabil. Sehingga untuk mengatasinya pemilik kafe harus mendatangi masing-masing tempat kafe. Hal ini sangat tidak efisien karena jarak jauh. Maka dibutuhkan Virtual Private Network (VPN) untuk menghubungkan jaringan internet antar Kafe Sarijan 1, Kafe Sarijan 2, dan Kafe Sarijan 3 secara pribadi melalui jaringan publik menggunakan metode Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan VPN dapat menghubungkan jaringan Kafe Sarijan 1, 2, dan 3 serta dapat memonitoring menggunakan The Dude. Monitoring menggunakan The Dude sangat membantu karena terdapat indikator up dan down untuk mengetahui jaringan mana yang stabil atau yang sedang mengalami down(trouble), jika terjadi down(trouble) maka tidak perlu mendatangi ketempat kafe cukup mengatasinya melalui The Dude sehingga dapat meminimalisir biaya transport. Selain itu penggunaan VPN ini sangat efisien dan biaya yang murah tanpa membeli perangkat tambahan hanya memanfaatkan pada router mikrotik dan konfigurasinya mudah dengan menggunakan winbox.

English Abstract

Sarijan Cafe has 3 cafes with different locations and quite a lotof visitors. One of the facilities in this cafe is wifi. The more the number of cafe visitors, the slower the internet speed, the unstable wifi internet network. So to overcome this, cafe owners have to go to each cafe. This is not very efficient because of the long distance. Then a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is needed to connect the internet network between Cafe Sarijan 1, Cafe Sarijan 2, and Cafe Sarijan 3 privately through a public network using the Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) method. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out, it shows that using a VPN can connect the Cafe Sarijan 1, 2, and 3 networks and can monitor using The Dude. Monitoring using The Dude is very helpful because there are up and down indicators to find out which network is stable or which is experiencing down (trouble), if there is a down (trouble) then you don't need to go to the cafe, just handle it through The Dude so you can minimize transport costs. Besides that, the use of this VPN is very efficient and low cost without buyingadditional devices,only usingthe proxy routerandthe configuration is easy using Winbox.
