Abstract

Limbah kotoran sapi menjadi sebuah problematika bagi alam dan lingkungan. Limbah kotoran sapi mengandung gas C4 (metana) yang dapat merusak lapisan ozon 21 kali lebih dahsyat bila dibandingkan dengan kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh gas CO2 (karbondioksida) penyebab global warming. Faktanya, sistem perkandangan sapi yang ada di Indonesia masih tergolong sistem perkandangan yang konvensional. Dimana, sistem perkandangan yang masih dijalankan secara manual oleh peternak. Sehingga dapat menyebabkan kerusakan lingkungan berupa pemanasan global. Demi menghadirkan peternakan sapi di era revolusi industri 4.0, kandang pintar menerapkan sistem IoT (Internet of Things) dalam pengoperasianya. Sistem IoT ini menggunakan alat yang bernama PLC (Programmable Logic Control) sebagai main controller. Lalu, arduino uno tersebut tersambung dengan alat berupa driver relay yang terhubung dengan alat penggerak otomatis untuk pemberian pakan, pemberian minum, sanitasi kandang, pengaturan cahaya dan pengaturan suhu serta kelembapan. Sistem IoT ini dapat memudahkan peternak dalam mengontrol dan mengoperasikan sistem perkandangan karena peternak dapat mengontrol sistem perkandangan hanya melalui smartphones. Kandang pintar juga diharapkan mampu menjadi acuan dalam menyongsong terwujudnya peternakan sapi Indonesia berbasis 4.0.

English Abstract

Cow manure is a problem for nature and the environment. Cow manure contains C4 gas (methane) which can damage the ozone layer 21 times more devastating when compared to the damage caused by CO2 (carbon dioxide) gas that causes global warming. In fact, the existing cattle housing system in Indonesia is still classified as a conventional housing system. Where, the housing system is still run manually by breeders. So that it can cause environmental damage in the form of global warming. In order to present cattle farming in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, smart cages implement an IoT (Internet of Things) system in their operations. This IoT system uses a device called PLC (Programmable Logic Control) as the main controller. Then, the Arduino Uno is connected to a device in the form of a relay driver which is connected to an automatic driving device for feeding, drinking, cage sanitation, light control and temperature and humidity settings. This IoT system can make it easier for farmers to control and operate the housing system because farmers can control the housing system only through smartphones. Smart cages are also expected to be able to become a reference in welcoming the realization of Indonesian cattle farming based on 4.0.
