Abstract
Editor adalah salah satu peran dibalik layar sebagai pendukung sukses atau tidaknya sebuah karya sebagai peramu dalam karya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses kreatif dari seorang editor music video pada era yang modern, dengan pengambilan fokus kepada lagu “Rolls of Dream”. Dalam analisis editing technique dan pemilihan mood, kita akan mengetahui bagaimana editor menggunakan elemen kreatif untuk menghasilkan karya audio-visual yang menarik dan memiliki pemaknaan dalam karya-nya Dengan menganalisis proses editing music video “Rolls of Dream” dengan penyesuaian teknologi terkini, penulis berusaha memberikan wawasan tentang editing technique dan pemilihan mood sebuah karya visual yang bisa menghasilkan karya yang menarik dan memiliki makna. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan laporan tugas akhir ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan obervasi riset lapangan. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut: Penggunaan editing technique dan pemilihan mood bisa menghasilkan karya menarik dan memiliki makna yang bisa dirasakan oleh penonton.
English Abstract
The editor is one of the behind-the-scenes roles as a supporter of the success or failure of a work as a concocter in the work. This study aims to determine the creative process of a music video editor in the modern era, by focusing on the song "Rolls of Dream". In the analysis of editing techniques and mood selection, we will find out how editors use creative elements to produce audio-visual works that are interesting and have meaning in their work. By analyzing the process of editing the music video "Rolls of Dream" with the latest technological adjustments, the author tries to provide insight into editing techniques and choosing the mood of a visual work that can produce interesting and meaningful works. The method used to complete this final project report is qualitative with a field research observation approach. From the results of this study, the following results were obtained: The use of editing techniques and mood selection can produce interesting works and have meaning that can be felt by the audience.
