Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh dari item position terhadap model fit skala apabila tes non-kognitif disajikan sesuai dengan urutan dimensinya (order) dan rangkaian item yang disajikan tidak sesuai dengan urutan dimensinya (random) menggunakan skala confuse. Skala confuse yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan skala yang berisikan total 20 item dan skala confuse alternatif yang berisikan total 16 item. Partisipan penelitian merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya dengan jumlah partisipan yaitu 433 orang yang ditentukan dengan desain non-random sampling yang digolongkan menjadi dua golongan yang diberikan kondisi yang berbeda. Partisipan pada golongan pertama diberikan kondisi order dengan dimensi future berada pada bagian awal skala, sedangkan partisipan pada golongan kedua diberikan kondisi random. Teknik analisis model fit dengan menggunakan CFA fit indices. Cut-off point dari fit indices menggunakan nilai yang telah diajukan oleh Hu dan Bentler (1999). Hasil uji fit indices menunjukkan bahwa model yang berisikan 16 item yang disajikan dengan kondisi order dengan dimensi future berada pada bagian awal skala merupakan model yang memiliki model fit tertinggi diantara seluruh model yang diuji. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi penelitian selanjutnya yang menggunakan skala confuse dan peneliti yang ingin mengkonstruksi skala non-kognitif.

English Abstract

This study examines the effect of item position on the scale fit model when a non-cognitive test is presented in accordance with the order of its dimensions (order) and a series of items presented not in accordance with the order of its dimensions (random) using the confuse scale. The confuse scale used in this study is a scale containing a total of 20 items and an alternative confuse scale containing a total of 16 items. The research participants were Brawijaya University students with a total of 433 participants determined by non-random sampling design which was classified into two groups given different conditions. Participants in the first group were given order conditions with the future dimension at the beginning of the scale, while participants in the second group were given random conditions. Model fit analysis technique using CFA fit indices. The cut-off point of fit indices uses the value proposed by Hu and Bentler (1999). The results of the fit indices test show that the model containing 16 items presented under order conditions with the future dimension at the beginning of the scale is the model that has the highest fit model among all models tested in this study. The results of this study can be a reference for further research using the confuse scale and researchers who want to construct non-cognitive scales.
