Abstract

Culture impacts thinking, language, and human conduct, as our perceptions are influenced by our cultural identities and personalities. Sometimes humans are aware of the consequences, and sometimes the researcher are not. In either case, the researcher had a tendency to favor others who share cultural or personality traits with us. SOGIESC law from the United Nations is a comprehensive legal framework designed to promote and protect the rights and dignity of all individuals, from various studies of cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds are increasingly required to interact as globalisation progresses (Mazur, 2010). As example of work diversity is at IOM (International Organization for Migration), the IOM values and encourages diversity in their office and organization because the researcher know it's one of the factors that qualifies us to deal with the complex issue of migration The research seeks to explore the intricate interplay between culture, gender, and diversity within this unique context, shedding light on the multifaceted dynamics that shape the workplace experiences of Korean expatriates. Supported that, Trompenaars claimed that “the essence of culture is not what is visible on the surface, it is shared by ways teams of people understand and interpret the world” (Trompenaars 1997, p.3). Supporting the study of culture, the researcher will also work with intercultural communication. The supporting theory called Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT) is a communication theory developed by Howard Giles, (2007). The findings indicate that Korean expatriates initially faced challenges in adapting to the Indonesian work environment due to differences in cultural norms and communication styles. However, their experiences in South Jakarta have led to personal growth and transformation.
