Abstract
Pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif menuntut siswa untuk mampu menulis pidato persuasif dengan terampil. Namun, pada kenyataannya banyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam menentukan ide topik dan siswa cenderung menyalin teks pidato persuasif dari internet. Perilaku tersebut membuat siswa tidak dapat mengembangkan daya berpikirnya dalam menulis ters pidato persuasif. Hal tersebut juga dialami oleh siswa kelas IX D SMPN 15 Malang. Dari permasalahan tersebut peneliti menerapkan media komik dalam pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif. Media komik menjadi alternatif karena dapat membantu siswa untuk memperoleh topik yang bersifat aktual dan menjadikan siswa berpikir kritis dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif karena tidak memungkin jika menyalin dari internet. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penerapan, hasil evaluasi pembelajaran, dan persepsi siswa pada media komik dalam pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah siswa yang berjumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, wawancara, angket dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes, pedoman wawancara, dan pedoman angket, dan pedoman observasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data penerapan media komik yang membantu siswa memperoleh tema permasalahan untuk menulis teks pidato persuasif, hasil evaluasi pembelajaran siswa yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa tergolong pada kategori baik sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa komik dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif, dan diperkuat oleh persepsi siswa melalui angket dan wawancara dengan respon yang positif yaitu media komik dalam pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif.
English Abstract
The learning about writing persuasive speech text demands the student to be able to write the persuasive speech text decently. In reality, there are so many students who experienced some difficulties in finding a topic and they tend to copy the text from the internet. This behaviour makes the students could not develop their thinking skills in writing the persuasive speech text. This kind of thing is also experienced by the ninth grader students of D class in SMPN 15 Malang. From this research problem, the researcher applies the comic news media to support their skills in writing persuasive speech. The comic news media become the alternative solution because it helps the student to gain the actual topic and helps them to develop their critical thinking in writing the persuasive speech text so they were not be able to copy the text from the internet. The research method of this study is the descriptive qualitative research method. This study is conducted to gain the application, the evaluation, and the students’ perception towards comic media to learn about writing persuasive speech text. The data resources of this study are the 30 students. This study is using the test, interview, questionnaire, and observation as the data collection techniques. The research instruments of this study are the test, interview guidelines, questionnaire guidelines, and observation guidelines. The result of this study is the application of comic media that helps student get the topic to write persuasive speech text, the students’ learning evaluation that shows that the students classified as good which could be concluded that comic can be used to learn about writing the persuasive speech text, strengthen by their perception from the questionnaire and the interview with the positive response that comic media for learning to write the persuasive speech text.
