Abstract
Tindakan bullying yang dilakukan oleh pelaku akan meninggalkan luka bagi para korban. Seseorang yang menjadi korban bullying akan terganggu kondisi psikologisnya. Dampaknya akan mempengaruhi self-esteem menjadi rendah jika tidak dilakukan proses coping untuk mengurangi dampak negatif bullying. Coping strategy yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan upaya forgiveness. Tidak adanya emosi negatif akibat adanya upaya forgiveness pada korban membuatnya melakukan penerimaan diri yang akan membantu meningkatkan self-esteem mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan forgiveness dengan self-esteem pada korban bullying. Responden penelitian adalah seseorang yang pernah atau sedang menjadi korban bullying dengan rentang usia 16 hingga 26 tahun, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 138 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Pearson's Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara forgiveness dengan self-esteem pada korban bullying. Hal ini berarti bahwa semakin tinggi forgiveness maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat self-esteem yang dimiliki oleh korban, begitupun sebaliknya.
English Abstract
Bullying acts carried out by perpetrators will leave scars for the victims. Someone who is a victim of bullying will have their psychological condition disturbed. The impact will be low self-esteem if a coping process is not carried out to reduce the negative impact of bullying. The coping strategy that can be implemented is forgiveness. The absence of negative emotions due to forgiveness efforts on the part of victims makes them accept themselves, which will help increase their self-esteem. This research aims to determine the relationship between forgiveness and self-esteem in victims of bullying. The research respondents were victims of bullying, with an age range of 16 to 26 years, for a total of 138 respondents. This research uses a purposive sampling technique, and the analysis technique used is Pearson's Product Moment. The research results show that there is a positive relationship between forgiveness and self-esteem in victims of bullying. This means that the higher the forgiveness, the higher the level of self-esteem the victim has, and vice versa.
