Abstract

Pesatnya angka pertumbuhan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Indonesia diikuti juga dengan meningkatnya angka kematian usaha disebabkan oleh berbagai hal. Salah satu yang membuat angka kematian tersebut meningkat yaitu ketidakmampuan usaha dalam mencatat dan mengelola keuangannya termasuk pada perhitungan harga pokok produksi dari produk yang dihasilkan. Perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang tepat akan menghasilkan harga jual yang tepat juga sesuai dengan laba yang diinginkan penjual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang digunakan oleh UMKM Amigo Cake kemudian membandingkan dengan perhitungan harga pokok produksi berdasarkan metode job order costing untuk usaha yang sifatnya pesanan. Jenis metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai fakta yang terjadi di lapangan mengenai perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang digunakan. Dengan adanya hal tersebut, peneliti dapat mengetahui seberapa efektif dan akurat perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang dihitung berdasarkan metode job order costing. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan harga pokok produksi yang dilakukan oleh UMKM Amigo Cake masih sangat sederhana dan belum menyertakan secara detail komponen biaya yang dilkeluarkan selama proses produksi. Perhitugan harga pokok produksi yag dilakukan oleh UMKM Amigo Cake mempunyai nilai lebih rendah jika dibandingkan dengan perhitungan yang dilakukan menggunakan metode job order costing. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh UMKM Amigo Cake belum menghitung keseluruhan komponen biaya secara detail, biaya penyusunan aset, biaya bahan baku penolong, dan biaya lain-lain.

English Abstract

The rapid growth rate of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in Indonesia is also followed by an increase in business mortality due to various reasons. One of the things that has increased the mortality rate is the inability of MSME to record and manage their finances, including the calculation of production cost in the products they produce. The calculation of the right cost of production will produce the right selling price in accordance with the profit that the seller wants. This study aims to determine the calculation of the production cost used by UMKM Amigo Cake and then compare it with the calculation of the production cost based on the job order costing method for businesses that are order-based. The type of method used in this research is qualitative, which aims to provide an overview of the facts that occur in the field regarding the calculation of the production cost. With this in mind, researchers can find out how effective and accurate the calculation of production cost is based on the job order costing method. The results of this study indicate that the calculation of production cost carried out by UMKM Amigo Cake is still very simple and does not include detailed cost components incurred during the production process. The calculation of production cost carried out by UMKM Amigo Cake has a lower value when compared to the calculations that made using the job order costing method. This is because UMKM Amigo Cake has not calculated the entire cost component in detail, including the cost of depreciation assets, the cost of supporting raw materials, and other costs.
