Abstract

Perawatan diri mempengaruhi tingkat keparahan gejala yang dialami pasien gagal jantung. Pelaksanaan perawatan diri signifikan mengurangi tingkat keparahan gejala dan rehospitalisasi pasien gagal jantung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan perawatan diri dengan tingkat keparahan gejala pasien gagal jantung. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah observasional korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 61 diambil dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen untuk mengukur perawatan diri pasien gagal jantung menggunakan EHFSCBs dan tingkat keparahan gejala pasien gagal jantung menggunakan SSQ-HF. Hasil pelaksanaan perawatan diri memiliki rata-rata skor 27.51 (61% dari skor total perawatan diri) dan tingkat keparahan gejala memiliki rata-rata skor 31.61 (38% dari skor total tingkat keparahan gejala). Hasil uji Pearson Product Moment menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan perawatan diri dengan tingkat keparahan gejala dengan nilai p-value 0.043 dan nilai koefisien korelasi -0.260. Arah hubungan negatif yang artinya hubungan tidak searah sehingga semakin banyak gejala yang dirasakan maka perawatan diri pasien gagal jantung memiliki pelaksanaan yang lebih baik, sedangkan semakin sedikit gejala yang dirasakan atau gejala yang dirasakan minimal maka pasien gagal jantung memiliki perawatan diri yang kurang baik. Harapannya pasien gagal jantung mampu melaksanakan perawatan diri sejak awal didiagnosis gagal jantung dan tidak menunggu gejala semakin parah atau kondisi yang memburuk agar tidak jatuh ke kondisi yang merugikan seperti rawat inap berulang, serta diperlukan edukasi terkait pengenalan gejala secara dini sehingga pasien tidak mengalami perburukkan gejala.

English Abstract

Self-care affects the symptom severity experienced by heart failure patient. Implementation of self-care significantly reduces symptom severity and rehospitalization in heart failure patient. The aim of this study was to analyze the associated between self-care and the symptom severity in heart failure patient. The method in this research was correlative observational with a cross sectional approach a sample size of 61 that was taken by purposive sampling. Instruments that used to measure self-care in heart failure patients was EHFSCBs and the severity of symptoms in heart failure patients was SSQ-HF. The results of the univariate test showed that the implementation of self-care had an average score of 27.51 (61% of the total self-care score) and the severity of symptoms had an average score of 31.61 (38% of the total symptom severity score). Correlation analysis of the Pearson Product Moment test shows that there is a significant relationship between the implementation of self-care and the severity of symptoms with a p-value of 0.043 and a correlation coefficient of -0.260. The direction of the relationship is negative, which means the relationship is not in the same direction. The more symptoms felt, the implementation of self-care for heart failure patients more better, whereas the fewer symptoms felt or minimal symptoms, the implementation of self-care more worse in heart failure patient. Patient with heart failure should be able to perform self care from early course of the disease (heart failure) and dont wait for worsen symptoms or condition. Perform self care from early course of the disease will prevent patient drop into adverse condition such as rehospitalizations
