Abstract
Libraries are one of the public facilities provided by the government to support education and information needs in Indonesia. In addition, the library is also a place of learning that presents and stores several works such as books, magazines, cassettes, vinyl records, and the like. The library is also a source of information that becomes a reference in searching for literature. This year we can see that the existence of public libraries is now less attractive to the public, especially teenagers apart from educational needs, this has also happened to the public library in the city of Krian, this situation has resulted in a lower interest in reading by the Krian community. In attracting the interest of library visitors, a space design is needed that can attract library visitors' interest in reading, because the physical arrangement of a space is one of the basics in fulfilling basic needs. Activities affect the appearance, feelings, and thoughts of each person or visitor. And in designing "Public Library Redesign", the authors use the concept of Edutanment and Cresative Comfy Zone with the aim of accommodating literacy activities in it with a comfortable atmosphere. In this concept, a post modern space design will be applied in order to help solve existing problems, namely increasing interest in reading for Krian city users.
