Abstract
Director of photography memiliki peran penting dalam pembuatan film dokumenter. Director of photography bertanggung jawab terhadap visual yang akan ditampilkan dalam film. Maka dari itu seorang director of photography harus menguasai tentang teknik sinematografi. Salah satu unsur yang harus diperhatikan dalam sebuah film dokumenter adalah teknik pengambilan gambar. Dalam film dokumenter, penataan kamera dan pemilihan komposisi gambar memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam menyampaikan pesan yang ingin disampaikan. Dengan pemilihan pengambilan gambar yang tepat, director of photography mampu menciptakan visual yang baik sehingga pesan dan makna dalam film dapat disampaikan dengan efektif. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana proses seorang director of photography dalam menerapkan teknik pengambilan gambar kemudian mengimplementasikannya ke dalam sebuah produksi film dokumenter “Kopi di Tangan Santri”. Metode yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan laporan tugas akhir ini adalah Kualitatif. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil berupa: Penerapan teknik sinematografi dalam memperkuat pesan melalui visual pada film “Kopi di Tangan Santri”. Data yang diperoleh diharapkan dapat memperkuat penulisan tugas akhir ini dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan yang lebih luas bagi pembaca.
English Abstract
The Director of Photography plays a crucial role in the making of a documentary film. They are responsible for the visual elements that will be presented in the film. Therefore, a Director of Photography must have a thorough understanding of cinematography techniques. One important aspect to consider in a documentary film is the technique of capturing images. The arrangement of the camera and the selection of composition have a significant impact on conveying the intended message. By making appropriate choices in capturing images, the Director of Photography can create compelling visuals that effectively communicate the message and meaning of the film. This research focuses on examining the process of a Director of Photography in applying the technique of capturing images and implementing it into the production of the documentary film "Kopi di Tangan Santri." The research methodology utilized for this final project is qualitative. The obtained data is expected to strengthen the completion of this final project by providing a broader knowledge and insights for readers. The research findings include the application of cinematography techniques to reinforce the message through visual elements in the film "Kopi di Tangan Santri." The gathered data is intended to enhance the quality of this final project, with the aim of providing a wider understanding and perspective for readers.
