Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan upaya yang dilakukan oleh telephone operator di Regent's Park Hotel Malang dalam mencapai keberhasilan penjualan kamar saat musim sepi atau low season. Pada musim sepi, hotel menghadapi tantangan dalam mempertahankan tingkat okupansi yang tinggi, sehingga peran telephone operator menjadi penting dalam menarik calon tamu untuk memesan kamar. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan telephone operator dan analisis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telephone operator mengimplementasikan beberapa strategi, seperti peningkatan pengetahuan tentang fasilitas hotel, penerapan keterampilan komunikasi yang baik, peningkatan layanan kepada calon tamu, tindakan follow-up, dan kolaborasi dengan tim penjualan hotel. Melalui strategi-strategi ini, telephone operator berperan dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan penjualan kamar hotel saat musim sepi, meningkatkan tingkat okupansi, dan memastikan kelangsungan operasional hotel.

English Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts made by telephone operators at Regent's Park Hotel Malang to achieve room sales success during low season. During low season, hotels face challenges in maintaining high occupancy rates, making the role of telephone operators crucial in attracting potential guests to book rooms. Data for this research were collected through interviews with telephone operators and analyzed using descriptive data analysis. The results of the study indicate that telephone operators implement several strategies, including increasing knowledge about hotel facilities, employing effective communication skills, enhancing services to potential guests, conducting follow-ups, and collaborating with the hotel's sales team. Through these strategies, telephone operators play a significant role in improving room sales success during low season, increasing occupancy rates, and ensuring the hotel's operational sustainability.
