Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi persepsi dan respon remaja usia 17-23 tahun terhadap film pendek bertema Quarter Life Crisis. Quarter Life Crisis merupakan fenomena psikologis yang dialami oleh banyak individu di usia awal dewasa, khususnya saat menghadapi tantangan transisi dari masa remaja ke dunia dewasa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap sampel remaja usia 17-23 tahun yang telah menonton film pendek bertema Quarter Life Crisis. Penelitian ini akan mengeksplorasi bagaimana film pendek ini mencerminkan pengalaman, konflik, dan perasaan yang dialami oleh remaja dalam menghadapi quarter life crisis. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang persepsi dan respon remaja terhadap tema Quarter Life Crisis dalam film pendek. Temuan penelitian akan memberikan wawasan tentang relevansi tema ini dengan kehidupan remaja masa kini, serta apakah film pendek dapat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk mengkomunikasikan dan mengatasi tantangan psikologis yang mereka alami. Kesimpulan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang berharga bagi pembuat film, psikolog, dan pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan dalam mengembangkan konten audiovisual yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dan keinginan remaja di usia 17-23 tahun. Penelitian ini juga berpotensi untuk membuka jalan bagi penelitian lebih lanjut dalam bidang psikologi remaja dan pengaruh film terhadap kesehatan mental mereka.
English Abstract
This study aims to investigate the perceptions and responses of adolescents aged 17-23 years to a short film with the theme Quarter Life Crisis. Quarter Life Crisis is a psychological phenomenon experienced by many individuals in their early adulthood, especially when facing the challenges of transition from adolescence to adulthood. This research method uses a qualitative approach using in-depth interview techniques with a sample of adolescents aged 17-23 years who have watched a short film with the theme Quarter Life Crisis. This research will explore how this short film reflects the experiences, conflicts, and feelings experienced by adolescents in facing a quarter life crisis. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of adolescent perceptions and responses to the theme of Quarter Life Crisis in short films. The research findings will provide insight into the relevance of this theme to the lives of today's youth, as well as whether short films can be an effective tool for communicating and overcoming the psychological challenges they experience. It is hoped that the conclusions of this research can provide valuable information for filmmakers, psychologists, and interested parties in developing audiovisual content that is relevant to the needs and desires of adolescents aged 17-23 years. This research also has the potential to pave the way for further research in the field of adolescent psychology and the effect of films on their mental health.
