Abstract
Di era postmodern ini, perkembangan kemajuan teknologi tidak bisa dihindari. Teknologi sebagai tujuan utama untuk meringankan kesulitan manusia kini disalahgunakan oleh manusia itu sendiri untuk alasan egois seperti motif ekonomi dan internal-emosional. Teknologi canggih yang mampu menciptakan gambaran dan sosok hiperrealistis yang muncul di dunia nyata kita disalahgunakan oleh manusia itu sendiri untuk alasan pribadi yang pada akhirnya akan menghancurkan kehidupan manusia lainnya. Teori Hiperrealitas yang disusun oleh Jean Baudrillard merupakan salah satu teori yang cocok untuk mengkaji topik penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyasar dan bertujuan untuk mengungkap penyalahgunaan teknologi yang didasari oleh motif ekonomi dan internal-emosional dengan perspektif hiperrealitas Baudrillard dalam serial film Black Mirror Season 6 episode 1 dan 3. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa karakter Mona Javadi dari episode 1 dan David Ross dari episode 3 menyalahgunakan teknologi untuk motif tertentu yang merupakan motif pribadi dan akhirnya merugikan orang lain. Hal ini terlihat dari perilaku mereka yang tidak bertanggung jawab dan tidak bijaksana dalam memanfaatkan hasil hiperrealitas dari kemajuan teknologi demi peningkatan keuntungan dan keinginan egois mereka sendiri. Konsep hiperrealitas terlihat dari cara mereka menciptakan kondisi hiperrealitas terhadap karakter lain dan memanfaatkannya. itu. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengisi gap pada topik penelitian ini dan teori Hiperrealitas Baudrillard.
English Abstract
In this postmodern era, the growth of advancement technology could not be avoided. Technology as the core purpose to ease human difficulties is now being abused by human itself for selfish reasons such as economic and internal-emotional motives. The advanced technology that is able to create such a hyperrealistic image and figure appears on our real world is being abuse by human itself for personal reasons that will end up ruining other human life. Hyperreality Theory composed by Jean Baudrillard is one of the theories that suitable to examine this research topic. Therefore, this research targets and aims to uncover the abuse of technology based on economic and internal-emotional motives with Baudrillard’s hyperreality perspective in Black Mirror movie series season 6 episode 1 and 3. The result show that the character Mona Javadi from episode 1 and David Ross from episode 3 is abusing technology for certain motives which their private motives and ends up ruining others. This can be seen in their unresponsible behavior and unconsiderable act to use the hyperrealistic result from advance technology for their own increasement of profit and selfish wish and the hyperreality concept can be seen in the way they create hyperreality condition to the other characters and taking advantage of that. For further researchers can fill up the gap in this research topic and Baudrillard’s Hyperreality theory.
