Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi nilai nutrisi daun leguminosa yang mengandung lutein dan implementasinya sebagai imbuhan pakan terhadap performa dan kualitas telur itik alabio periode bertelur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap. Tahap I bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi nilai nutrisi dan kandungan lutein beberapa jenis leguminosa (alfalfa, kelor, Indigofera, dan lamtoro). Tahap II bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh substitusi leguminosa terbaik dalam pakan komersial terhadap kualitas telur itik ALabio. Metode penelitian adalah percobaan lapangan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan uji Anova. Itik Alabio umur 5 bulan sebanyak 140 ekor dengan rataan bobot badan 1,39 kg/ekor digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pakan komersial disubstitusi dengan tepung daun Kelor dengan level 0; 2,5; 5; 7,5; dan 10%. Variabel yang diamati yaitu Performa dan kualitas telur itik Alabio. Berdasarkan uji laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa tepung daun Kelor memiliki kandungan nutrisi (PK 25,51% dan SK 10,17%) terbaik dan kandungan lutein tertinggi (237,94 mg/kg). Hasil penelitian tahap II menunjukkan bahwa substitusi tepung daun Kelor dalam pakan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap performa itik Alabio, tetapi berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap IOFC, tebal kerabang, kekuatan kerabang, dan kolesterol serta berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap berat telur, indeks telur, dan lemak telur itik Alabio. Disimpulkan bahwa substitusi tepung daun Kelor 2,5% dengan kandungan lutein 6 mg/kg pada pakan komersial dapat meningkatkan tebal kerabang, kekuatan kerabang, indeks telur, serta mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol telur itik dari 760,65 mg/dl menjadi 706,65 mg/dl dengan IOFC Rp. 876,26 per butir.
English Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional value of leguminous leaves containing lutein and its implementation as a feed additive on the performance and egg quality of alabio ducks in the laying period. This research was conducted in two stages. Phase I aimed to evaluate the nutritional value and lutein content of several leguminous species (alfalfa, kelor, Indigofera, and lamtoro). Phase II aimed to analyze the effect of the best leguminous substitution in commercial feed on the egg quality of ALabio ducks. The research method was a field experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications. Data were analyzed by Anova test. Alabio ducks aged 5 months as many as 140 heads with an average body weight of 1.39 kg / head were used in this study. Commercial feed was substituted with Kelor leaf meal at levels 0; 2.5; 5; 7.5; and 10%. The observed variables were performance and egg quality of Alabio ducks. Laboratory tests showed that Kelor leaf meal had the best nutritional content (PK 25.51% and SK 10.17%) and the highest lutein content (237.94 mg/kg). The results of phase II research showed that the substitution of Kelor leaf meal in feed had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the performance of Alabio ducks, but had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on IOFC, shell thickness, shell strength, and cholesterol and had a significant effect (P<0.05) on egg weight, egg index, and egg fat of Alabio ducks. It was concluded that the substitution of 2.5% Kelor leaf meal with a lutein content of 6 mg/kg in commercial feed can increase shell thickness, shell strength, egg index, and can reduce duck egg cholesterol levels from 760.65 mg/dl to 706.65 mg/dl with an IOFC of Rp. 876.26 per grain.
