Abstract

Sebagian besar ibu menyusui memberikan ASI eksklusif yaitu sebanyak 65 orang (81,3%), rata-rata asupan responden yaitu energi 85,86%, protein 107,88%, lemak 120.72%, karbohidrat 72,22%.

English Abstract

The diet of breastfeeding mothers can influence the macronutrient composition of breast milk. Breast milk contains a variety of complete nutrients to optimize the development of the baby's immune system and reduce the risk of stunting. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between energy and macronutrient intake of breastfeeding mothers and the nutritional status of babies. Research in February - December 2023 with respondents of 80 breastfeeding mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months in the Cisadea Community Health Center working area in Malang City, using an analytical observational design, cross sectional study design and Quota Sampling technique. The research instrument used was the SQ-FFQ and the baby's nutritional status assessed was WAZ, HAZ and WHZ. Statistical analysis used the Spearman correlation test (p<0.05). The majority of breastfeeding mothers exclusively breastfeed, namely 65 people (81.3%), the average intake of respondents is 85.86% energy, 107.88% protein, 120.72% fat, 72.22% carbohydrates. There is a relationship between the energy intake of breastfeeding mothers and the nutritional status of HAZ babies (r=0.282; p=0.011). There is a relationship between the protein intake of breastfeeding mothers and the nutritional status of WAZ babies (r=0.246; p=0.028). However, no relationship was found between the fat and carbohydrate intake of breastfeeding mothers and the nutritional status of WAZ, HAZ and WHZ babies. It can be concluded that the energy and protein intake of breastfeeding mothers is related to the nutritional status of babies aged 0-6 months in the Cisadea Health Center area, Malang City. It is hoped that breastfeeding mothers will pay attention to the adequacy of meeting energy and protein needs in accordance with AKG recommendations. Good nutritional intake in breastfeeding mothers affects the nutritional composition of breast milk so that babies who receive exclusive breast milk will have optimal and healthy growth and development.
