Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir komputasi (computational thinking) siswa kelas X Animasi 2 SMK Negeri 9 Malang dalam menyelesaikan Bebras challenge. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian non-implementatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan instrumen tes berupa soal Bebras challenge dan wawancara yang di dalamnya mencakup empat indikator kemampuan berpikir komputasi yaitu dekomposisi, pengenalan pola, abstraksi, dan berpikir algoritma serta pengumpulan data yang terakhir yaitu dokumentasi. Terdapat enam orang siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik stratified random sampling sehingga terbagi menjadi tiga kategori yaitu 2 siswa kategori tinggi, 2 siswa kategori sedang, dan 2 siswa kategori rendah sebagai subjek penelitian. Proses analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display), dan penarikan kesimpulan. Diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan ketiga kategori siswa menganalisis, mengidentifikasi, dan menarik kesimpulan pada soal yang diberikan. Kesimpulannya S1 dan S2 memiliki kemampuan berpikir komputasi tinggi dilihat dari terpenuhinya keempat indikator kemampuan berpikir komputasi yang sangat baik. S3 dan S4 memiliki kemampuan berpikir komputasi sedang dilihat dari terpenuhinya keempat indikator kemampuan berpikir komputasi yang cukup baik, meskipun jawaban mereka tidak sepenuhnya benar. S5 dan S6 memiliki kemampuan berpikir komputasi rendah dilihat dari masih adanya indikator kemampuan berpikir komputasi yang belum terpenuhi karena keduanya kurang mampu melakukan tahap pemecahan masalah dengan tepat.
English Abstract
This research aims to analyze the computational thinking ability of students of class X Animation 2 of SMK Negeri 9 Malang in solving Bebras challenge. This research used descriptive qualitative method with non-implementative research type. Data collection was carried out by giving test instruments in the form of Bebras challenge questions and interviews which included four indicators of computational thinking skills namely decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking and the last data collection was documentation. There were six students who were divided into three categories, there are 2 high category students, 2 medium category students, and 2 low category students as research subjects. The data analysis process uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. It was found that there were significant differences between the three categories of students in analyzing, identifying, and drawing conclusions from the given problems. In conclusion, S1 and S2 have high computational thinking ability seen from the fulfillment of the four indicators of excellent computational thinking ability. S3 and S4 have moderate computational thinking skills seen from the fulfillment of all four indicators of computational thinking skills that are quite good, although their answers are not entirely correct. S5 and S6 had low computational thinking skills as seen from the fact that there were still indicators of computational thinking skills that had not been fulfilled because both of them were unable to perform the problem solving stage appropriately.
