Abstract

Bentuk dari penggunaan teknologi di bidang Pendidikan adalah munculnya buku elektronik atau biasa disebut dengan ebook yang lebih praktis dan efisien dari buku cetak konvensional pada umumnya. Di dalam buku elektronik dan buku cetak konvensional terdapat unsur yang tidak bisa dipisahkan yaitu Typefaces atau dapat diartikan dengan tipe tampilan huruf. Penelitian Ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui Typefaces yang baik untuk digunakan dalam buku elektronik pada modul pembelajaran mata kuliah desain interaksi media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Experiment. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner, soal Pretest dan Posttest. Sampel penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua yaitu kelas DIMP A dengan Typefaces Serif dan Kelas DIMP B dengan Typefaces Sans Serif. Penelitian ini menggunakan Typefaces dengan Jenis Roboto. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji Independent sample T test, uji Wilcoxon, dan uji Mann-whitney. (1) Hasil Uji Kuesioner, data yang didapatkan berdistribusi normal dan bersifat homogen, uji Independent sample T test menyatakan bahwa tidak adanya perbedaan pengalaman membaca menggunakan dua Typefaces tersebut. (2) Hasil uji Pretest dan Posttets, data yang didapatkan tidak berdistribusi normal dan bersifat homogen, uji Mann-whitney pada data posttets menyatakan tidak ada perbedaan pengalaman membaca menggunakan dua Typefaces tersebut, uji Wilcoxon pada data pretest dan posttest pada setiap kelas menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan pengaruh terhadap pengalaman membaca menggunakan dua Typefaces tersebut. Dengan kesimpulan data di atas bahwa hasil pengujian kedua Typefaces baik Typefaces Serif dan Typefaces SansSerif sama-sama memilki pengaruh pada hasil belajar Mahasiswa dan sama-sama baik digunakan dalam Buku Elektronik.

English Abstract

A form of technology use in the field of education is the emergence of electronic books or what are usually called ebook which is more practical and efficient than conventional printed books in general. In electronic books and conventional printed books there are elements that cannot be separated, namely Typefaces or it can be interpreted by the type of letter display. This research has the aim of knowing Typefaces which is good for use in electronic books in learning modules for learning media interaction design courses. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. This research design uses Like an experiment. The research instruments used include questionnaires, questions Pretest and Posttest. This research sample was divided into two, namely DIMP A class with Typefaces Serif and DIMP Class B with Typefaces SansSerif. This research uses Typefaces with Roboto Type. Data analysis techniques in this research include normality test, homogeneity test, testIndependent sample T test, test Wilcoxon, and test Mann-whitney. (1) Questionnaire Test Results, the data obtained is normally distributed and homogeneous, test Independent sample T test stated that there was no difference in reading experience using the two Typefaces the. (2) Test results Pretest and Postal, the data obtained is not normally distributed and is homogeneous, test Mann-whitney the posttest data states that there is no difference in reading experience using the two Typefaces that, test Wilcoxon on data pretest and posttest in each class shows that there are differences in the influence on the reading experience using the two Typefaces that. With the conclusion of the data above, the test results for both Typefaces are good Typefaces Serif and Typefaces SansSerif both have an influence on student learning outcomes and are equally good for use in electronic books.
