Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan, sangat penting menerapkan metode evaluasi yang teliti dan sistematis untuk mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek tertentu yang memerlukan perbaikan guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Salah satu metode evaluasi yang umum digunakan adalah tes esai, yang berperan dalam mengukur keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Namun, para pendidik sering menghadapi keterbatasan dan permasalahan, terutama terkait dengan koreksi yang membutuhkan waktu, tenaga, dan tingkat ketelitian yang tinggi. Dari sisi pelajar, juga terdapat kurangnya transparansi penilaian dan beberapa penilaian yang kurang objektif. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan media sistem informasi yang dapat menjadi alat pendukung dalam proses ujian esai. Fokus penelitian ini adalah meneliti dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi berbasis teknologi sentence similarity, zero-shot classification, dan entropy weight guna mengotomatisasi proses penilaian dan evaluasi ujian esai. Penelitian dimulai dengan studi dan analisis kebutuhan yang dihadapi oleh pendidik, dilanjutkan dengan fase perancangan, implementasi, dan pengujian yang dilakukan secara bertahap. Hasil penelitian ini adalah media sistem informasi yang telah diuji coba. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem informasi yang mempermudah proses evaluasi ujian esai. Melalui pengujian menggunakan metode korelasi Pearson, diperoleh hasil akhir dengan rata-rata korelasi sebesar 0.785. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai yang dihasilkan memiliki korelasi yang baik, menandakan bahwa nilai akhir dapat dinyatakan valid dan reliabel.

English Abstract

In the realm of education, it is crucial to implement meticulous and systematic evaluation methods to identify specific aspects that require improvement in order to enhance the quality of education. One commonly used evaluation method is essay tests, which play a role in measuring high-level thinking skills. However, educators often encounter limitations and issues, particularly related to time-consuming corrections, energy expenditure, and high precision requirements. From the perspective of students, there is also a lack of assessment transparency and some assessments are less objective. To address these issues, this research aims to create an information system that can serve as a supportive tool in the essay examination process. The focus of this research is to investigate and implement an information system based on technology involving sentence similarity, zero-shot classification, and entropy weight to automate the assessment and evaluation processes of essay exams. The research begins with a study and analysis of the challenges faced by educators, followed by the phases of design, implementation, and testing conducted incrementally. The result of this research is a tested information system that facilitates the evaluation of essay exams. Through testing using the Pearson correlation method, the final result with an average correlation of 0.785 was obtained. The test results indicate that the generated values have a good correlation, signifying that the final scores can be deemed valid and reliable.
