Abstract
Penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana faktor-faktor yang dianggap berpengaruh dalam perubahan tingkat kemiskinan di Indonesia, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Dengan menggunakan analisis jalur, peneliti menggunakan variabel intervening sebagai mediasi antar variabel independen maupun variabel dependen untuk melihat seberapa jauh pengaruh yang dihasilkan. Pada hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa pendidikan menjadi faktor yang hanya berpengaruh terhadap TPAK dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemiskinan. Faktor yang lain seperti, upah, pengeluaran pemerintah di sektor pendidikan dan kesehatan tidak menunjukkan hasil yang berpengaruh terhadap TPAK, namun signifikan terhadap kemiskinan. Pada hasil pengaruh melalui TPAK terhadap kemiskinan, hanya variabel pendidikan yang mampu berpengaruh secara signifikan akan tetapi dengan arah yang positif.
English Abstract
This study elucidates factors that are believed to have direct and indirect effects on poverty rate in Indonesia. Through path analysis, intervening variables that mediate the independent variables with the dependent ones were used to measure the produced impacts. This study finds that education is a factor that only influences labor force participation rate; it does not affect poverty. Other factors such as wages and governmental expenditures for health and education do not affect labor force participation rate, but they are significant to poverty. Regarding the effect of labor force participation rate on poverty, only does education have significant impact, and such effect is positive.
