Abstract
PT Samudra Kencana Mina merupakan perusahaan di bidang frozen seafood yang berlokasi di Sidoarjo. Salah satu divisi yang ada adalah divisi purchasing yang memiliki tugas melakukan pengadaan di saat divisi marketing mengajukan permintaan. Terdapat permasalahan yang muncul saat divisi purchasing melaksanakan tugasnya, yaitu divisi marketing sering kali menginginkan barang yang tengah susah didapat baik karena tidak dalam musimnya serta menginginkan harga bahan baku yang murah tanpa tahu harga di pasaran. Permasalahan ini tentunya mempengaruhi minat pembeli untuk kembali, maka perlu dilakukan analisa dan evaluasi terhadap proses bisnis terkait pengadaan barang. Berdasarkan permasalahan serta fokus area yang condong pada permasalahan internal, peneliti memilih metode Business Process Improvement (BPI) untuk memperbaiki proses bisnis. Analisis permasalahan dilakukan dengan Root Cause Analysis dan analisis proses bisnis dilakukan dengan Abstraksi Vertikal. Berdasarkan hasil streamlining menggunakan Value Added Assesment dan teknik ESIA, peneliti merancang proses bisnis to-be berdasarkan proses pembelian bahan baku (as-is) dan merekomendasikan dua proses bisnis pembelian bahan baku secara Just in Time dan Just in Case. Dimana proses bisnis to-be ini melalui perbandingan waktu total dengan proses bisnis as-is mengalami prosentase kenaikan sebesar 46,32% pada proses bisnis pembelian bahan baku secara Just in Time dan 63,65% untuk proses bisnis pembelian bahan baku secara Just in Case.
English Abstract
PT Samudra Kencana Mina is a company within the frozen seafood sector located in Sidoarjo. One of the existing divisions is the purchasing division, which has the task of carrying out procurement when the marketing division submits a request. There are problems that arise when the purchasing division carries out its duties, namely the marketing division often wants materials that are difficult to obtain either because they are not in season and also wants cheap material prices without knowing the prices on the market. This problem certainly affects buyer’s interest to coming back, so it is necessary to analyze and evaluate the business processes related to procurement. Based on the problems and focus areas that tend to be internal problems, researchers chose the Business Process Improvement (BPI) method to improve business process. Problem analysis is carried out using Root Cause Analysis and business process analysis is carried out using Vertical Abstraction. Based on the results of streamlining using Value Added Assessment and ESIA techniques, researchers designed a to-be business process based on the material purchasing process (as-is) and recommended two material purchasing business processes which are being done by Just in Time and Just in Case. Through a comparison of total time with the as-is business process, these tobe business processes experienced a percentage increase of 46.32% in the Just in Time purchasing business process and 63.65% for Just in Case.
