Abstract

Pesatnya laju pertumbuhan populasi di area khususnya perkotaan dapat menimbulkan masalah lingkungan salah satunya penurunan ketersediaan lahan pertanian. Disisi lain, permasalahan global seperti perubahan suhu dunia dan perubahan iklim yang ekstrim dapat mengganggu kestabilan dalam menjaga kesediaan pangan. Dalam periode milenial ini banyak berkembang usaha untuk pemenuhan pangan mandiri mulai dari penerapan teori hingga ilmu teknologi. Salah satu metode yang sedang banyak dilakukan oleh petani di Indonesia adalah dengan hidroponik yang dikembangkan menggunakan sistem kontrol secara otomatis. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada ruangan tertutup didalam rumah dengan lokasi di Mojokerto selama 10 hari ini melakukan percobaan penanaman pakcoy secara hidroponik dengan menggunakan beberapa integrasi kontrol berupa fotosintesis indoor, penakaran nutrisi otomatis, pemantauan level cairan, dan pengaturan sirkulasi udara yang dikontrol dengan program berupa ladder diagram untuk programmable logic controller. Untuk data komparasi, penelitian ini terdapat dua media tanam, yaitu indoor (dengan pengontrolan) dan outdoor (tanpa pengontrolan). Berdasarkan pelaksanaan penelitian dengan menggunakan programmable logic controller, yang membandingkan hasil penanaman secara indoor maupun outdoor didapatkan bahwa suhu lingkungan tanam dan suhu air pada media tanam indoor bertahan pada range 24℃-29℃ dan 26℃-28℃, kelembapan udara sebesar 63%-96%, kepekatan nutrisi sebesar 789-1298 PPM, dan pertumbuhan daun 1-2 helai setiap harinya. Hasil dari penelitian ini tampak pada proses panen dimana penanaman pakcoy memberikan hasil warna daun tanaman yang ditanam secara indoor lebih pekat 47.59% jika dibandingkan dengan tanaman yang ditanam secara outdoor (matahari langsung) dan tinggi tanaman pada media tanam outdoor tumbuh lebih tinggi sebesar 9.87% dibanding tanaman pada media tanam indoor.

English Abstract

The rapid rate of population growth in urban areas, especially, can cause environmental problems, one of which is a decrease in the availability of agricultural land. On the other hand, global problems such as changes in world temperature and extreme climate change can disrupt stability in maintaining food availability. In this millennial period, many businesses have developed to fulfill their own food needs, starting from the application of theory to technology. One method that is being widely used by farmers in Indonesia is hydroponics which is developed using an automatic control system. The research was carried out in a closed room in a house in Mojokerto for 10 days. This experiment carried out hydroponics pakcoy planting experiments using several control integrations in the form of indoor photosynthesis, automatic nutrient dosing, liquid level monitoring, and controlled air circulation with a program in the form of a ladder diagram. for programmable logic controllers. For comparative data, this study contained two growing media, namely indoor (with control) and outdoor (without control). Based on the implementation of research using a programmable logic controller, which compared the results of indoor and outdoor planting, it was found that the temperature of the planting environment and the temperature of the water in the indoor growing media remained in the range of both 24℃-29℃ and 26℃-28℃, the air humidity was 63% -96%, the nutrient density was 789-1298 PPM, and leaf growth of 1-2 strands per day. The results of this study can be seen in the harvesting process where the planting of pakcoy gave the leaf color results of plants grown indoors which were 47.59% more concentrated when compared to plants grown outdoors (direct sun) and plant height in outdoor growing media grew higher by 9.87% compared to plants in indoor growing media.
