Abstract
Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kata budaya dan teknik penerjemahan yang muncul di Berita Lokal PSIK Vokasi. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teknik penerjemahan seperti apa yang dibutuhkan oleh berita lokal dan kata budaya seperti apa yang muncul dalam berita lokal. Penulis ingin mengenali penonton tentang proses penerjemahan dan apa sebenarnya penulis konten dalam persepsi penulis. Data yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini bersumber dari konten-konten yang telah disediakan PSIK Vokasi sejak penulis memulai program magang di sana. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi studi kepustakaan, observasi, dan studi kearsipan. Berdasarkan hasil tugas akhir ini, tugas akhir ini menampilkan: (1) Teknik Penerjemahan yang muncul di Berita Lokal PSIK Vokasi. (2) Jenis Konten yang diproduksi PSIK Vokasi untuk berinteraksi dengan audiensnya. (3) PSIK Vokasi telah menerapkan terjemahan Indonesia-Inggris di halaman situs web mereka untuk menyampaikan pesan mereka. (4) Kata-kata budaya yang muncul di Berita Lokal PSIK Vokasi.
English Abstract
This final project has an intentional purpose to analyze cultural words and translation technique that has appeared on PSIK Vokasi’s Local News. This final project’s objective is to analyze what kinds of translation techniques that the local news needed and what kind of cultural word that has appeared on the local news. The writer wants to acknowledge the audience about the process of translation and what exactly is a content writer in the writer’s perception. The data used in this final project originates from the contents that PSIK Vokasi has been provided since the writer began his internship program in there. The type of this research is qualitative and quantitative. Data collection that the writer used in this study includes literature study, observation, and archival study. Based on the results of this final project, this final project displayed: (1) Translation techniques that has appeared in PSIK Vokasi’s Local News. (2) Kinds of Contents that the PSIK Vokasi produced to engage with their audiences. (3) PSIK Vokasi has been applying Indonesian- English translation in their website pages to convey their messages. (4) Cultural words that has appeared in PSIK Vokasi’s Local News.
