Abstract

Teknologi yang sudah semakin maju menjadi jawaban atas masalah globalisasi yang semakin melekat dalam kehidupan manusia salah satunya adalah proses transformasi digital bagi UMKM. Penelitian ini meneliti tentang penerapan sistem Point of Sales di PW Café, yakni salah satu UMKM yang bergerak di bidang kuliner. Saat ini, UMKM tersebut masih menggunakan metode pembukuan dan pelaporan secara manual dan konvensional. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membantu proses transformasi digital yang mencakup proses pembayaran dan proses pelaporan penjualan secara digital guna meningkatkan efisiensi waktu operasional. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan operasional UMKM PW Cafe dapat terotomatisasi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja operasional PW Cafe. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan salah satu metodologi dari Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) yaitu Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang digunakan dari tahap analisis kebutuhan hingga kesimpulan. RAD dapat membantu perancangan dan pembangunan aplikasi dengan lebih cepat karena beberapa tahap yang ada di dalam metodologi RAD dapat dilakukan secara bersamaan. Hasil penelitian ini dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Dart beserta framework Flutter dengan bantuan dari Firebase untuk proses implementasi. Hasil implementasi berupa sebuah aplikasi mobile yang memiliki fitur utama untuk pencatatan penjualan langsung di dalam aplikasi. Penggunaan aplikasi dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional yang sudah berjalan, yang dimana dengan penggunaan aplikasi mendapat waktu rata-rata 11.75 detik dan rata-rata waktu metode konvensional adalah 27.75 detik. Hal ini menandakan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi memiliki waktu operasional lebih cepat dibanding menggunakan metode konvensional.

English Abstract

Technology that has become increasingly advanced is the answer to the problems of globalization that are increasingly inherent in human life, one of which is the digital transformation process for MSMEs. This research examines the implementation of the Point of Sales system at PW Café, which is one of the MSMEs operating in the culinary sector. Currently, these MSMEs still use manual and conventional bookkeeping and reporting methods. This research is aimed at assisting the digital transformation process which includes the payment process and digital sales reporting process in order to increase operational time efficiency. With this research, it is hoped that PW Cafe's MSME operations can be automated so that it can improve PW Cafe's operational performance. In this research, the author uses one of the methodologies from the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), namely Rapid Application Development (RAD) which is used from the needs analysis stage to the conclusion. RAD can help design and build applications more quickly because several stages in the RAD methodology can be carried out simultaneously. The results of this research were developed using the Dart programming language along with the Flutter framework with assistance from Firebase for the implementation process. The implementation result is a mobile application which has the main feature of recording sales directly in the application. The use of the application is compared with the conventional method that is already running, where using the application gets an average time of 11.75 seconds and the average time of the conventional method is 27.75 seconds. This indicates that using the application has a faster operational time than using conventional methods.
