Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi perbandingan pengujian kinerja antara framework Laravel dan Lumen dalam konteks arsitektur berbasis Service SOBAT-PS. Tujuan penelitian melibatkan analisis komunikasi framework terhadap pengguna, implementasi pada arsitektur SOBAT-PS, dan pengujian kinerja menggunakan JMeter dan Postman. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah metode gabungan waterfall dan benchmarking. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa framework Lumen menghasilkan eksekusi permintaan API yang lebih cepat dan stabil dibandingkan dengan framework Laravel, khususnya dalam pengujian menggunakan Postman dan JMeter. Pada Postman, Lumen menunjukkan hasil lebih baik dalam hal respon waktu dan jumlah total permintaan, meskipun dengan tingkat persentase error yang sedikit lebih tinggi. Sementara itu, pengujian dengan JMeter menunjukkan bahwa Lumen memiliki rata-rata waktu respon yang lebih cepat dan tingkat persentase error yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan Laravel. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini mencakup analisis komunikasi menggunakan metode Web Service, perancangan dan implementasi arsitektur SOBAT-PS dengan menggunakan kedua framework, serta hasil pengujian kinerja yang mendukung keunggulan framework Lumen dalam hal kecepatan eksekusi dan stabilitas. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman perbandingan antara dua framework yang sering digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasi web, khususnya dalam konteks arsitektur berbasis Service. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar bagi pengembang untuk memilih framework yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan kinerja dan stabilitas pada proyek mereka.

English Abstract

This research investigates performance testing calculations between the Laravel and Lumen frameworks in the context of the SOBAT-PS Service-based architecture. The research objectives include analysis of the communication framework for users, implementation on the SOBAT-PS architecture, and performance testing using JMeter and Postman. The research method applied is a combination of waterfall and benchmarking methods. The main findings show that the Lumen framework produces faster and more stable API request execution compared to the Laravel framework, especially in tests using Postman and JMeter. On Postman, Lumen shows better results in terms of response time and total number of requests, although with a slightly higher error percentage rate. Meanwhile, testing with JMeter shows that Lumen has a faster average response time and a lower error percentage rate compared to Laravel. The conclusions of this research include communication analysis using the Web Service method, design and implementation of the SOBAT-PS architecture using both frameworks, as well as performance testing results that support the superiority of the Lumen framework in terms of execution speed and stability. This research contributes to a comparative understanding between two frameworks that are often used in web application development, especially in the context of service-based architecture. The implications of this research can be used as a basis for developers to choose a framework that suits the performance and stability needs of their projects.
