Abstract
Lansia merupakan tahap perkembangan terakhir dari kehidupan manusia dan memiliki rentang terpanjang dalam masa perkembangan. Kehidupan masa tua membutuhkan sebuah persepsi dukungan sosial pada lansia sebagai penunjang dalam mencapai successful aging, terlebih ketika tinggal di panti wreda. Penelitian ini ditujukkan untuk mengetahui peran perceived social support terhadap pencapaian successful aging lansia di panti wreda Kota Malang. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia yang tinggal di panti wreda Kota Malang dengan jumlah 35 lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan instrumen Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support untuk mengukur perceived social support pada lansia dan Successful Aging Scale untuk mengukur kemampuan lansia dalam mencapai successful aging, yang telah diadaptasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan software JASP versi 16.4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat signifikansi peran perceived social support terhadap pencapaian successful aging lansia di panti wreda Kota Malang sebesar 46.5%.
English Abstract
Elderly is the last developmental stage of human life and has the longest span of development. Life in old age requires a perception of social support for the elderly in achieving successful aging, especially when living in a nursing home. This study aims to determine the role of perceived social support to achieve successful aging of the elderly in Malang City nursing home. Respondents in this study were elderly that living in Malang City nursing home with a total of 35 elderly. This study uses quantitative correlation research with the instrument Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support to measure elderly’s perceived social support and Successful Aging Scale to measure the ability of the elderly to achieve successful aging, which has been adapted. The analysis technique used linear regression with JASP software 16.4 version. The result showed that there was a significant role of social support to achieve successful aging of the elderly in Malang City nursing home in the amount of 46.5%.
