Abstract

Kegagalan proses pembuatan gigi tiruan banyak dipengaruhi oleh faktor ketidaksesuaian preparasi. Keterampilan preparasi operator dilatih dengan menggunakan replika elemen gigi. Replika elemen gigi berbahan self-cured acrylic dan heat-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nanohidroksiapatit tulang sapi pada peneliti terdahulu belum mampu menyerupai sifat mekanis gigi asli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan modulus elastisitas heat-cured acrylic dan self-cured acrylic setelah penambahan nanohidroksiapatit dari tulang sapi sebagai bahan dasar replika elemen gigi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian true experimental design dan rancangan penelitian post test only control group design dengan 10 kelompok sampel berupa aklirik silinder diameter 3 mm dan tinggi 6 mm yang terdiri atas 3 aklirik silinder yang dibuat dari bahan heat-cured acrylic; masing-masing 3 sampel aklirik silinder yang dibuat dari bahan heat-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nHAP tulang sapi dengan presentase 2%, 5%, 8%, dan 10%; 3 sampel aklirik silinder yang dibuat dari bahan self-cured acrylic; serta masing-masing 3 sampel aklirik silinder yang dibuat dari bahan self-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nHAP tulang sapi dengan presentase 2%, 5%, 8%, dan 10%. Sampel dilakukan uji tekan menggunakan Universal Testing Machine. Berdasarkan uji One-way ANOVA nilai sigifikansi yang didapatkan sebesar 0,000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap modulus elastisitas heat-cured acrylic setelah penambahan nHAP dari tulang sapi sebagai bahan dasar replika elemen gigi dengan modulus elastisitas self-cured acrylic setelah penambahan nHAP dari tulang sapi sebagai bahan dasar replika elemen gigi. Nilai modulus elastisitas tertinggi terdapat pada kelompok sampel C, heat-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nHAP 8% (6615,26  206,30 MPa).Modulus elastisitas heat-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nHAP tulang sapi memiliki nilai yang lebih tinggi dari pada modulus elastisitas self-cured acrylic dengan penambahan nHAP tulang sapi. Nilai modulus elastisitas tersebut meningkat seiring dengan penambahan presentase nHAP dan menurun pada penambahan nHAP 10%.

English Abstract

The failure of the process of making dentures is largely influenced by inappropriate preparation factors. The operator's preparation skills are trained using replicas of tooth elements. Replicas of dental elements made from self-cured acrylic and heat-cured acrylic with the addition of bovine bone nanohydroxyapatite in previous researchers were not able to resemble the mechanical properties of real teeth. This study aims to determine the comparison of the elastic modulus of heat-cured acrylic and self-cured acrylic after adding nanohydroxyapatite from bovine bone as a base material for replicating dental elements. This research used a true experimental design research method and a post test only control group design research design with 10 sample groups in the form of acrylic cylinders with a diameter of 3 mm and a height of 6 mm consisting of 3 acrylic cylinders made from heat-cured acrylic; 3 acrylic cylinder samples each made from heat-cured acrylic material with the addition of bovine bone nHAP in percentages of 2%, 5%, 8% and 10%; 3 acrylic cylindrs samples made from self-cured acrylic; and 3 acrylic cylinder samples each made from self-cured acrylic material with the addition of bovine bone nHAP in percentages of 2%, 5%, 8% and 10%. The samples were subjected to a pressure test using a Universal Testing Machine. Based on the One-way ANOVA test, the significance value obtained was 0.000, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the elastic modulus of heat-cured acrylic after adding nHAP from bovine bone as a base material for replicating dental elements with the elastic modulus of self-cured acrylic after adding nHAP from bovine bone as the basic material for replicating dental elements. The highest elastic modulus value was found in sample group C, heat-cured acrylic with the addition of 8% nHAP (6615.26  206.30 MPa). The elastic modulus of heat-cured acrylic with the addition of bovine bone nHAP has a higher value than the elastic modulus of self-cured acrylic with the addition of bovine bone nHAP. The elastic modulus value increased with the addition of the nHAP percentage and decreased with the addition of 10% nHAP.
