Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang penerapan teknologi Online Travel Agent (OTA) dalam digitalisasi pemesanan hotel di Banda Neira. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan teknologi OTA, memberikan informasi bagi pemangku kepentingan di industri pariwisata, pengelola hotel, dan masyarakat terkait penerapan OTA. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mendeskripsikan dan menganalisisi faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam penerapan digitalisasi pemesanan hotel di Banda Neira. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori inovasi difusi (Diffusion of Innovation) yang dikemukakan oleh Everett M. Rogers dalam menganalisis penerapan OTA kepada wisatawan yang berkunjung dan pihak hotel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan fenomenologi sebagai pendekatan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknk purposive sampling variasi maksimum. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perkembangan OTA dalam industri perhotelan di Banda Neira didukung dengan adanya kemajuan internet dan teknologi yang digunakan oleh pihak hotel di Banda Neira. Pada penerapannya, ditemukan faktor pendukung, yaitu kemudahan akses internet dan keterpaparan pihak hotel dalam penggunaan situs resmi untuk proses pemesanan. Faktor penghambat yang ditemui adalah penerapan OTA membutuhkan penyesuaian lebih terkait dengan sistem dan kebijakan oleh pihak OTA. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini menemukan keuntungan dari penerapan digitalisasi pada efisiensi pemesanan dan pembayaran hotel di Banda Neira nyatanya memberikan berbagai keuntungan bagi setiap sektor pariwisata.
English Abstract
This research examines the application of Online Travel Agent (OTA) technology in digitizing hotel bookings in Banda Neira. The aim of this research is to determine the application of OTA technology and provide information for stakeholders in the tourism industry, hotel managers, and the public regarding the application of OTA. Apart from that, this research also describes and analyzes the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the digitalization of hotel bookings in Banda Neira. This research uses the diffusion of innovation theory proposed by Everett M. Rogers in analyzing the application of OTA to visiting tourists and hotels in Banda Neira. This research uses qualitative research methods with phenomenology as the research approach. Data collection techniques in this research used are interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The technique for determining informants in this research uses a maximum variation purposive sampling technique. The results of this research are that the development of OTA in the hotel industry in Banda Neira is supported by advances in the internet and technology used by hotels in Banda Neira. In its implementation, supporting factors were found, namely ease of internet access and exposure of the hotel in using the official site for the booking process. The inhibiting factor encountered was that the implementation of OTA required more adjustments related to systems and policies by the OTA. Furthermore, this research found that the benefits of implementing digitalization on the efficiency of hotel bookings and payments in Banda Neira actually provide various benefits for every tourism sector.
