Abstract

Penyatuan satu bidang ke bidang lainnya merupakan hal yang menguji kemampuan diri juga mengajak orang yang berkeinginan untuk eksplorasi lebih untuk menciptakan sesuatu yang memuaskan juga berbeda. Hal tersebut memiliki alur yang serupa dengan teori Alih Wahana ciptaan Sapardi Djoko Damono (2016) karena menjelaskan tentang perubahan satu jenis kesenian ke jenis kesenian lain. Dengan hal tersebut, penulis mengalih wahanakan seni musik ke seni visual untuk dijadikan ide penciptaan tugas akhir. Jason Ranti dan Avenged Sevenfold merupakan dua artis yang dapat dijadikan acuan untuk ide ini. Dengan itu, penulis mengalih wahanakan musik-musik dari album “Carmen’s Journal” ciptaan Red Dose yang memiliki 7 lagu didalamnya ke seni visual dengan harapan untuk menambah referensi literatur juga merealisasikan impian penulis. Lagu-lagu tersebut memiliki judul yaitu Angel’s Tears, Tawananmu, Speak to Me, Fraud Tranquility, Letter, Tak Lagi Menyertai, dan Footnote. Penulis merupakan vokalis juga frontman dari band tersebut dan ingin membawa karya musik yang diciptakan penulis juga rekan-rekan musiknya ke level yang berbeda. Ide yang dimiliki yaitu setiap lagu pada album “Carmen’s Journal” diilustrasikan dengan gaya surealisme, menciptakan pengalaman multimedia yang menyatu. Proses kreatif ide ini menggunakan tiga metode dari L.H. Chapman, yaitu penemuan gagasan, perancangan, lalu perwujudan. Karya-karya yang merepresentasikan lagu-lagu dari album "Carmen’s Journal" akan digarap dalam dua tahapan, yaitu ilustrasi digital dan lukis konvensional untuk menambahkan sedikit sentuhan yang dapat merebut perhatian para audiens. Lalu, akan dipamerkan dengan menggunakan lirik lagu sebagai deskripsi. Penempatan karya mengikuti urutan lagu pada album, menciptakan keteraturan yang juga mencerminkan konsep diari para personil Red Dose.

English Abstract

The integration from one field to another is a test of one's abilities and also encourages those who are willing to explore more to create something satisfying and unique. This process bears a resemblance to the concept of "Alih Wahana" by Sapardi Djoko Damono (2016) as it explains the transformation of one type of art into another. With this, the writer transforms the art of music into visual art to be used as an idea for the creation of a final project. Jason Ranti and Avenged Sevenfold are two artists that can serve as references for this idea. With that, the author transforms the music from the album "Carmen’s Journal" by Red Dose, which contains 7 songs, into visual art in the hope of expanding literature references and realizing the author's dreams. The songs are titled Angel’s Tears, Tawananmu, Speak to Me, Fraud Tranquility, Letter, Tak Lagi Menyertai, and Footnote. The author is the vocalist and frontman of the band and wants to take the music created by the author and his fellow musicians to a different level. The idea is to illustrate each song on the album "Carmen’s Journal" with surrealistic style, creating a multimedia experience that blends together. The creative process for this idea uses three methods from L.H. Chapman: idea discovery, design, and realization. Works representing the songs from the "Carmen’s Journal" album will be created in two stages: digital illustrations and conventional paintings to add a touch that can capture the audience's attention. Then, they will be exhibited using song lyrics as descriptions. The placement of the works follows the order of the songs on the album, creating an orderliness that also reflects the diary concept of the Red Dose personnel.
