Abstract
Komunikasi memerlukan perhatian terhadap kejujuran dan kepercayaan. Komunikator harus mempunyai kredibilitas yang dapat dipercaya. Pidatonya akan dihargai jika sesuai dengan tindakannya. Kesenjangan antara tuturan dan pelaksanaan tindakan hanya akan menjadikan tuturan sebagai lip service. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi lip service dari Presiden Jokowi dan mengungkap konteksnya. Pemahaman teks dan konteks yang saling terkait ini akan memberikan pemahaman menyeluruh mengenai komunikasi lip service yang dilakukan Presiden Jokowi sekaligus pemahaman mengapa komunikasi lip service tersebut terjadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Analisis Wacana Politik (PDA). Metode PDA menganalisis teks lip service Jokowi dan konteksnya: bolehnya demonstrasi, revisi UU KPK, seruan kritik lagi, dan TWK pegawai KPK. Terlihat bahwa Presiden Jokowi melakukan komunikasi basa-basi ketika topik diskusi berkisar pada dua wacana utama: nilai-nilaifundamental demokrasi dan langkah-langkah antikorupsi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi semacam itu digunakan untuk mempolitisasi wacana tersebut dan menjaga citra Presiden Jokowi sebagai pemimpin yang demokratis dan anti korupsi.
English Abstract
Communication requires attention to honesty and trust. Communicators must have credibility that can be trusted. The speech will be rewarded if it matches the action. The discrepancy between speech and implementation action will only make a speech as lip service. There are two objectives of this research. First, reveal various lip service texts from President Jokowi. Second, it reveals the context of the emergence of President Jokowi's lip service communication texts. This intertwined reading of the text and context will provide a comprehensive understanding of President Jokowi's lip service communication as well as an understanding of why this lip service communication occurred. This research uses the Political Discourse Analysis (PDA) method. The use of the PDA method is to analyze the text and context of Jokowi's lip service communications. The texts and contexts examined included the text regarding the permissibility of demonstrations during the second term of President Jokowi'sinauguration, the revision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Law, President Jokowi's request that the public be more massive in criticizing, and regarding the National Insight Test (TWK) for KPK employees. President Jokowi's lip service communication occurs when the subject of the conversation is related to two discourses. First, the discourse related to the fundamental values of democracy. Second, discourse related to anti-corruption. This research concludes that lip service communication is carried out to politicize discourse so that President Jokowi is still associated as a democratic and anti-corruption leader.
