Abstract

Kalipare merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang terletak di wilayah Kabupaten Malang Selatan Jawa Timur dengan berbagai keberagaman. Letak kecamatan Kalipare didominasi oleh hutan dan pegunungan turut berpengaruh terhadap jenis pekerjaan masyarakatnya. Mayoritas penduduk Kalipare bekerja sebagai petani. Adanya jumlah pemuda di Kalipare yang cukup banyak seharusnya berpengaruh terhadap pertambahan jumlah petani di Kalipare, namun jumlah petani di Kalipare justru tetap. Hal tersebut dikarenakan banyak dari pemuda yang memilih pekerjaan lain, salah satunya wirausaha. Ide untuk menjadi wirausaha dipilih oleh pemuda Kalipare karena dengan berwirausaha selain bisa meningkatkan ekonominya sekaligus bisa merawat orang tua. Usaha pemuda Kalipare tentunya tidak selalu berjalan dengan lancar, ada kendala yang menghalangi salah satunya pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Namun pemuda Kalipare dengan adanya buka usaha mempunyai harapan yang pasti untuk selalu membantu ekonomi keluarga. Penelitian ini ingin menjawab bagaimana pemuda Kalipare mengembangkan kewirausahaan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian mereka dan bagaimana kesulitan yang dihadapi pemuda Kalipare dalam mengembangkan usaha mereka selama pandemi. Peneliti menggunakan konsep Nilai, Krisis, dan Harapan serta Kewirausahaan. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pemuda Kalipare sangat sedikit yang melanjutkan pekerjaan orang tuanya sebagai petani, karena anggapan mereka bekerja sebagai petani memiliki upah sedikit dan mereka merasa gengsi. Sehingga pemuda Kalipare memilih untuk bekerja di luar desa Kalipare untuk mencari modal, yang akan dijadikan untuk membuka usaha. Usaha yang dirintis inilah menjadi harapan untuk pemuda dalam membantu perekonomian keluarga.

English Abstract

Kalipare is one of the sub-districts located in the South Malang Regency, East Java with a variety of diversity. The location of Kalipare sub-district is dominated by forests and mountains which also influences the type of work of the people. The majority of Kalipare residents work as farmers. The large number of young people in Kalipare should have an influence on the increase in the number of farmers in Kalipare, but the number of farmers in Kalipare is actually the same. This is because many young people choose other jobs, one of which is entrepreneurship. The idea of becoming an entrepreneur was chosen by Kalipare youth because entrepreneurship can not only improve their economy but also take care of their parents. Of course, Kalipare youth businesses do not always run smoothly, there are obstacles that hinder them, one of which is during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, Kalipare youth, by opening a business, have a definite hope of always helping the family economy. This research wants to answer how Kalipare youth develop entrepreneurship to improve their economy and what difficulties Kalipare youth face in developing their businesses during the pandemic. Researchers use the concepts of Values, Crisis, and Hope and Entrepreneurship. Researchers used qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach. The results of this research show that very few Kalipare youth continue their parents' work as farmers, because they think that working as farmers has little wages and they feel prestigious. So Kalipare youth choose to work outside Kalipare village to look for capital, which will be used to open a business. This business that was initiated is a hope for young people to help the family economy.
