Abstract

Pemberian ASI secara eksklusif berperan penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi, namun pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih rendah utamanya pada ibu post sectio caesarea. Ibu dengan riwayat SC memiliki keterbatasan mobilitas karena adanya nyeri bekas operasi, sehingga sulit untuk menyusui. Salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan pemberian ASI adalah keyakinan (self-efficacy) ibu dalam menyusui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat self-efficacy menyusui dengan pemberian ASI pada ibu nifas post sectio caesarea di wilayah Puskesmas Karanganyar. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Responden pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 52 ibu post sectio caesarea. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form (BSES-SF) dan lembar pemberian ASI. Uji hubungan dua variabel menggunakan uji statistik Rank Spearman dengan p-value 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat self-efficacy responden pada tingkat tinggi (51,9%) dan mayoritas responden memberikan ASI nya secara parsial (46,2%). Hasil analisis korelasi terdapat hubungan kuat antara tingkat self-efficacy menyusui dengan pemberian ASI pada ibu post sectio caesarea di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Karanganyar (p-value = 0,000 : r = 0.676). Saran dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pembentukan program edukasi menyusui dalam upaya peningkatan self-efficacy menyusui ibu agar cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif meningkat.

English Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding plays a crucial role in the growth and development of babies, however exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still low, especially among mothers after section caesarea. Mothers with a history of SC have limited mobility due to surgical pain, making it difficult to breastfeed. One factor that can increase breastfeeding is confidence (self-efficacy) mothers in breastfeeding. The aim of this study is to analyze relationships between the level of breastfeeding self-efficacy and breastfeeding practices among post sectio caesarea mothers in the working area of Karanganyar Public Health Center (Puskesmas). The method used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study consisted of 52 mothersafter caesarean section. The research instrument used are Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Scale-Short Form (BSES-SF) and breastfeeding sheet. Correlation test between two variables using the Spearman Rank statistical test with p-value 0.05. The results showed that the respondent’s level of breastfeeding self-efficacy was at a high level (51.9%) and and the majority of respondents gave partial breast milk (46.2%). The results of the correlation analysis show a strong relationship between the level of breastfeeding self-efficacy and breastfeeding practices among post sectio caesarea mothers in the working area of Karanganyar Public Health Center (Puskesmas) (p-value = 0,000 : r = 0.676). The suggestion from this research is the need to establish an educational program in an effort to improveself-efficacy breastfeeding mothers so that coverage of exclusive breastfeeding increases.
