Abstract

Favehotel merupakan hotel bergaya dan nyaman yang terletak di Tlogomas, Malang. Karyawan Favehotel terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu karyawan kontrak dan daily worker. Penailaian kinerja untuk daily worker dilakukan pada daily worker departemen front desk agent, food and beverage service, cook, dan room attendant oleh setiap kepala departemen yang kemudian divalidasi oleh manajer HRC. Penilaian kinerja daily worker saat ini dirasa kurang detail dan tidak merepresentasikan setiap job desc, padahal hasil penilaian kinerja akan dijadikan bahan pertimbangan status kerja yaitu peluang promosi sebagai karyawan kontrak, perpanjangan kontrak, maupun evaluasi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kriteria penilaian yang tepat untuk daily worker. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rating Scale yang dapat memperlihatkan indikator kinerja untuk setiap skala penilaian. Langkah pertama dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan kejadian kritis kepada dimensi dan subdimensi. Kemudian diberikan bobot pada setiap dimensi dan subdimensi dengan menggunakan Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Selanjutnya dilakukan penilaian kinerja pada daily worker oleh masing-masing kepala departemen yang terkait. Hasil penilaian kinerja akan digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan status kerja daily worker ketika waktu kontrak mereka hampir habis. Dimensi dan subdimensi terpilih pada penilaian kinerja menggunakan metode rating scale akan berbeda antar job title daily worker. Sebagai contoh daily worker cook digunakan 5 dimensi dan 8 subdimensi dengan bobot terbesar dimiliki oleh subdimensi kualitas pekerjaan sebesar o,28 dan bobot terkecil sebesar 0,05 yang dimiliki oleh subdimensi inisiatif. Nilai akhir seluruh daily worker kemudian dikelompokkan pada 3 kategori yaitu baik, standar, dan kurang baik, sehingga dapat terlihat Hasil penilaian kinerja menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 6 daily worker direkomendasikan untuk promosi sebagai karyawan kontrak, 13 daily worker yang berada pada kategori standar sehingga mereka berhak mendapatkan perpanjangan kontrak selama satu periode kedepan. Namun, terdapat pula 2 daily worker yang berada pada kategori kurang baik sehingga kedua daily worker tersebut harus mendapatkan evaluasi kerja.

English Abstract

Favehotel is a such stylish and comfortable hotel located in Tlogomas, Malang. Favehotel employees are divided into 2 tipe, namely contract employees and daily workers. Performance appraisal for daily workers is conducted on daily workers of front desk agent, food and beverage service, cook, and room attendant departments by each department head which is then validated by HRC manager. The performance appraisal of daily workers is currently considered less detailed and does not represent each job desk, even though the results of the performance appraisal will be used as material for consideration of work status, namely promotion opportunities as contract employees, contract extensions, and job evaluations. This research aims to identify the right assessment criteria for daily workers. The method used in this research is the Rating Scale which can show specific indicators for each rating scale. The first step is done by grouping critical events into dimensions and subdimensions. Then the weight is given to each dimension and subdimension using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Furthermore, the performance assessment of daily workers is carried out by each head of the relevant department. The results of the performance assessment will be used as a consideration for the working status of daily workers when their contract time is running out. The dimensions and subdimensions selected in the performance assessment using the rating scale method must be different between daily worker job titles. For example, the daily worker cook used 5 dimensions and 8 subdimensions with the largest weight owned by the quality of work subdimension of 0,28 and the smallest weight of 0,05 owned by the initiative subdimension. The final score of all daily workers is then grouped into 3 categories, namely good, standard, and poor, so that it can be seen The results of the performance assessment show that there are 6 daily workers recommended for promotion as contract employees, 13 daily workers who are in the standard category so that they are entitled to a contract extension for the next period. However, there are also 2 daily workers who are in the poor category so that both daily workers must get a job evaluation.
