Abstract

Profil lipid dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) yang abnormal berperan pada meningkatnya risiko komplikasi pasien DM. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil lipid dan IMT pasien DM tipe 2. Data sekunder pasien Prolanis FKTP Kota Malang digunakan dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Dari analisis univariat, sebagian besar pasien memiliki kolesterol total kategori diinginkan, trigliserida kategori normal, kolesterol-LDL kategori tidak terkendali, kolesterol-HDL kategori tinggi, dan IMT kategori obese II. Sementara itu, dari analisis bivariat menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara jenis kelamin dan HbA1c terhadap kolesterol-LDL, kolesterol-HDL, dan IMT. Akan tetapi, tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara usia dengan kolesterol-LDL, kolesterol-HDL, dan IMT. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengawasan yang ketat terkait profil lipid dan IMT pasien karena berkaitan dengan tingginya faktor risiko terhadap komplikasi.

English Abstract

Abnormal lipid profiles and body mass index (BMI) has a role in the risk of complications of DM. This research aimed to identify the lipid profile and BMI of patients. This research used secondary data from Prolanis FKTP Malang patients and it through univariate and bivariate analysis. From univariate analysis, most of patients had total cholesterol in the desired category, triglycerides in the normal category, very high category in LDL, high category in HDL, and obese II category in BMI. Meanwhile, from bivariate analysis, there was a significant relationship between gender and HbA1c on LDL, HDL, and BMI, and there was no significant relationship between age and LDL, HDL, and BMI. Therefore, close monitoring is needed regarding the patient's lipid profile and BMI because they are associated with high risk factors for complications.
