Abstract
Latar Belakang: Trauma perineum sering terjadi saat proses persalinan. Trauma perineum ini dapat terjadi secara spontan yakni laserasi dan episiotomi yang dilakukan secara sengaja menggunakan alat. Trauma perineum dapat menyebabkan ibu post partum merasakan nyeri. Nyeri dapat diatasi dengan 2 metode yakni metode farmakologis maupun nonfarmakologis. Salah satu bentuk metode nonfarmakologis untuk mengatasi nyeri adalah relaksasi napas dalam. Teknik relaksasi benson merupakan suatu bentuk pengembangan dari metode relaksasi nafas dalam yang melibatkan faktor keyakinan pasien dimana diharapkan dapat mewujudkan suatu lingkungan yang nyaman. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh teknik relaksasi Benson terhadap nyeri pada ibu post partum dengan laserasi jalan lahir. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian analisis deskriptif dengan sampel penelitian yang terdiri dari 2 pasien kelompok intervensi dan 2 pasien kelompok kontrol. Intervensi diberikan kepada pasien dengan masing-masing pasien 3x saat homevisit. Hasil: Terdapat perubahan skala nyeri pada kelompok intervensi setelah 3 hari dilakukan intervensi yang awalnya pada skala 4-5 (nyeri sedang) menjadi 1-2 (nyeri ringan). Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh teknik relaksasi Benson terhadap penurunan nyeri pada ibu post partum dengan laserasi jalan lahir. Saran: Pelayanan keperawatan maternitas dapat menggunakan teknik relaksasi Benson sebagai salah satu standar operasional prosedur untuk manajemen nyeri nonfarmakologis pada ibu post partum dengan laserasi jalan lahir
English Abstract
Background: Perineal trauma often occurs during labor. This perineal trauma can occur spontaneously, namely lacerations and episiotomies that are carried out intentionally using tools. Perineal trauma can cause post partum mothers to feel pain. Pain can be treated with 2 methods, namely pharmacological and non- pharmacological methods. One form of non-pharmacological methods for dealing with pain is deep breathing relaxation. The Benson relaxation technique is a form of development of the deep breathing relaxation method which involves the patient's belief factor which is expected to create a comfortable environment. Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of Benson's relaxation technique on pain in post partum mothers with lacerations of the birth canal. Methods: This study used descriptive analysis research with a sample of 2 patients in the intervention group and 2 patients in the control group. Intervention was given to patients with each patient 3x during home visits. Results: There was a change in the pain scale in the intervention group after 3 days of intervention, initially on a scale of 4-5 (moderate pain) to 1-2 (mild pain). Conclusion: There is an effect of the Benson relaxation technique on reducing pain in post partum mothers with birth canal lacerations. Suggestion: Maternity nursing services can use the Benson relaxation technique as one of the standard operating procedures for non-pharmacological pain management in post partum mothers with birth canal lacerations.
