Abstract
Kota Batu merupakan daerah yang didominasi kawasan dataran tinggi sehingga memiliki tanah yang subur dengan panorama yang indah dan dikenal dengan hasil pertanian serta tempat wisata. Sektor pariwisata dan pertanian menjadi sektor utama di Kota Batu. Kota Batu memiliki keindahan alam yang menarik dan cocok untuk budidaya berbagai jenis tanaman hias. Potensi ini tercermin dari kekayaan produk pertanian dan banyaknya tempat wisata di daerah tersebut. Namun, pembangunan florikultura di Kota Batu masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan terkait teknologi, sumber daya alam, dan sarana produksi. Perancangan ini juga bertujuan sebagai wadah fasilitas wisata, edukasi, dan penelitian. Konsep dasar yang digunakan adalah rekreatif, konservasi, dan edukatif. Sedangkan tema perancangan yang dipilih adalah tema Arsitektur Biomorfik dengan bentuk, struktur dan material yang berkelanjutan. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yaitu dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi kepustakaan, observasi dan metode pengolahan data yaitu metode analisa, sintesis dan hasil desain skematik. Hasil rancangan Botanical Garden di Kota Batu dijelaskan ke dalam tiga prinsip Arsitektur Biomorfik. Prinsip yang pertama yaitu prinsip bentuk yakni bentuk massa berbasis metafora dari bentuk-bentuk alam. Prinsip yang kedua yaitu prinsip struktur dan material, penerapannya yakni penggunaan struktur dengan bentuk organik, sedangkan dari segi material penerapannya yaitu dengan pemilihan material alami (lokal) dan material yang mendukung bentuk kurvalinier. Prinsip yang ketiga yaitu prinsip berkelanjutan, penerapannya yakni dengan memaksimalkan penggunaan energi alami ke dalam bangunan.
English Abstract
Batu City is an area dominated by highlands, which has fertile land with beautiful scenery and is known for its agricultural products and tourist attractions. The tourism and agriculture sectors are the main sectors in Batu City. Batu City has an attractive natural beauty and is suitable for cultivating various kinds of ornamental plants. This potential is reflected in the wealth of agricultural products and the many tourist attractions in the area. However, the development of floriculture in Batu City still faces some challenges related to technology, natural resources, and production facilities. This design also aims to be a container for tourist facilities, education, and research. The basic concept used are recreational, conservation, and educational. While the chosen design theme is a biomorphic architectural theme with sustainable forms, structures and materials. The design method used is data collection techniques in the form of library research, observation, as well as data processing methods, namely analysis, synthesis and transformation methods. The results of the design of the Botanical Garden in Batu City are explained into three principles of biomorphic architecture. The first principle is the principle of form, namely the form of mass based on metaphor of natural forms. The second principle is the principle of structure and material, its application is the use of structures with organic shapes, while in terms of materials the application is by selecting natural (local) materials and materials that support a curvilinear shape. The third principle is the principle of sustainability, the application of which is to maximize the use of natural energy into buildings.
