Abstract

Skripsi ini berisi tentang, Pengaruh Karakter Dosen Terhadap Kedisiplinan Mahasiswa dan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Terdapat beberapa komponen terpenting didalam dunia pendidikan menurut Makmun (2006) dalam Ismail,dkk (2017:89), yaitu (1) mahasiswa, (2) tujuan, (3) dosen. Brophy (2002) (Bawon, 2017) seorang pendidik yang efektif seharusnya memiliki karakteristik yang memotivasi dan menstimulasi peserta didiknya yaitu dalam hal kedisiplinan mahasiswa dan prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan sebanyak 321 mahasiswa. Untuk menentukan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan menggunakan taraf 5% sehingga sampel berjumlah 178 mahasiswa aktif Prodi Adminitrasi Pendidikan. Data-data yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yaitu melalui kuisoner dan data sekunder yaitu melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung serta referensi yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat adanya pengaruh antara Karakter Dosen Terhadap Kedisiplinan Mahasiswa dan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan. Hal ini ditunjukan pada koefisien korelasinya yaitu sebesar 0,723 dan 0,583, sedangkan uji F diketahui F hitungnya adalah 198,139 dan 192,206 yang lebih besar dari nilai F tabel 3,89 dan signifikan di uji melalui t hitung yaitu sebesar 14,076 dan 13,864 yang lebih besar dari t tabel sebesar 1,974. Nilai R2 (R Square) dari karakter dosen terhadap kedisiplinan mahasiswa sebesar 0,527 menjelaskan bahwa pengaruh variabel Karakter Dosen terhadap Kedisiplinan Mahasiswa sebesar 52,7% sedangkan sisanya disebabkan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Sedangkan Nilai R2 (R Square) dari karakter dosen terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa sebesar 0,519 menjelaskan bahwa pengaruh variabel Karakter Dosen terhadap Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa sebesar 51,9% sedangkan sisanya disebabkan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini

English Abstract

This thesis contains the Influence of Lecturer Character on Student Discipline and Student Academic Achievement in the Educational Administration Study Program, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Brawijaya Malang. There are several most important components in the world of education according to Makmun (2006) in Ismail, et al (2017: 89), namely (1) students, (2) goals, (3) lecturers. Brophy (2002) (Bawon, 2017) an effective educator should have characteristics that motivate and stimulate students, namely in terms of student discipline and student academic achievement. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative approach, and the data analysis technique used is regression analysis. The population in this study were 321 active students of the Educational Administration Study Program. To determine the sample of this study using the Slovin formula using a level of 5% so that the sample is 178 active students of Education Administration Study Program. The data presented in this study uses primary data, namely through questionnaires and secondary data, namely through observation, interviews, and documentation as supporting data and references related to this research. The results in this study indicate that there is an influence between Lecturer Character on Student Discipline and Student Academic Achievement in the Educational Administration Study Program. This is shown in the correlation coefficient which is equal to 0.723 and 0.583, while the F test is known F count is 198.139 and 192.206 which is greater than the value of F table 3.89 and significantly tested through t count which is equal to 14.076 and 13.864 which is greater than t table of 1.974. The R2 (R Square) value of the lecturer's character on student discipline is 0.527 explaining that the influence of the lecturer's character variable on student discipline is 52.7% while the rest is caused by other factors not examined in this study. While the R2 (R Square) value of lecturer character on student academic achievement is 0.519 explaining that the effect of the lecturer character variable on student academic achievement is 51.9% while the rest is caused by other factors not examined in this study.
