Abstract
Perawatan Jangka Panjang (PJP) yang dilakukan oleh keluarga (caregiver) lansia sakit kronis berdampak terhadap tingginya beban rawat. Adanya beban rawat yang tinggi berakibat buruk bagi lansia, seperti halnya tindakan penelantaran oleh family caregiver. Untuk menurunkan tingkat beban rawat tersebut, perlu adanya dukungan sosial bagi caregiver yaitu Self Help Group (SHG). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian intervensi Self Help Group (SHG) terhadap penurunan beban rawat keluarga dengan lansia sakit kronis di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dau. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan desain penelitian pra eksperimental prepost-test one group design. Responden yang terlibat sebanyak 37 orang dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data beban rawat menggunakan kuesioner Zarit Burden Interview, dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sebelum intervensi self help group terdapat empat klasifikasi beban rawat yaitu beban ringan, beban sedang, beban berat, dan tidak ada beban rawat. Namun setelah intervensi self help group terdapat dua klasifikasi beban rawat yaitu tidak ada beban rawat dan beban rawat ringan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan nilai (p-value = 0.000; α=0.05) dan terdapat penurunan nilai beban rawat yang signifikan setelah dilakukan intervensi self help group. Sehingga terdapat pengaruh self help group terhadap penurunan beban rawat keluarga dengan lansia sakit kronis di Wilayah Kerja Puskessmas Dau. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disarankan untuk dibentuk self help group bagi keluarga dengan lansia sakit kronis, yang didalamnya terdapat peran tenaga kesehatan sebagai fasilitator dan penyedia informasi kesehatan.
English Abstract
Long-Term Care by families’ caregivers of chronically ill elderly have an impact on the high burden of care. The existence of a high burden of care is bad for the elderly, as is the case with neglect by family caregivers. To reduce the level of care burden, it is necessary to have social support for caregivers, namely the Self Help Group (SHG). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving a Self Help Group (SHG) intervention on reducing the burden of caring for families with chronically ill elderly in the working area of the Dau Health Center. This research is a quantitative study using a pre-experimental pre-post-test one group design. Respondents involved were 37 people using a purposive sampling technique. Retrieval of care burden data using the Zarit Burden Interview questionnaire, with the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test statistical test. The results of the study showed that before the self help group intervention there were four classifications of care burden, namely light burden, moderate burden, heavy burden, and no care burden. However, after the self help group intervention, there are two classifications of care burden, namely no care burden and light care burden. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the value (p-value = 0.000; α = 0.05) and there was a significant decrease in the value of care burden after the self-help group intervention was carried out. So that there is an effect of self-help groups on reducing the burden of caring for families with chronically ill elderly people in the Dau Health Center Work Area. Based on these results it is suggested to form a self help group for families with chronically ill elderly, in which the role of health workers is as a facilitator and provider of health information.
