Abstract

Diabetes melitus (DM) adalah penyakit kronis dengan peningkatan kadar gula darah dan dapat mengakibatkan komplikasi. Neuropati (gangguan saraf) merupakan salah satu komplikasi DM dengan gejala mati rasa pada kulit sehingga terjadi penurunan kepekaan terhadap luka. Derajat luka kaki diabetes dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor pengetahuan dan asupan zat gizi seperti protein, vitamin A, C, B12, zat besi, kalsium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan (risiko luka) dan kepatuhan diet (asupan vitamin B12) dengan derajat luka kaki pasien DM. Rancangan penelitian cross sectional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling dan besar sampel adalah total sampel yang berkunjung di klinik selama 3 bulan waktu penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dilakukan uji korelasi non-parametrik Spearman. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh sebanyak 15 sampel dengan tingkat pengetahuan (risiko luka) paling banyak tergolong kategori cukup, kepatuhan diet (asupan vitamin B12) paling banyak tergolong kategori kurang atau tidak patuh, dan derajat luka kaki pasien DM paling banyak grade 1. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan nilai p = 0,444 (p > 0,05) tidak terdapat hubungan tingkat pengetahuan (risiko luka) dan derajat luka kaki pasien DM, serta nilai p = 0,433 (p > 0,05) tidak terdapat hubungan kepatuhan diet (asupan vitamin B12) dan derajat luka kaki pasien DM. Kesimpulan yaitu tingkat pengetahuan (risiko luka) dan kepatuhan diet (asupan vitamin B12) tidak memiliki hubungan dengan derajat luka kaki pasien DM.

English Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with increase in blood sugar levels and will lead complication. Neuropathy or disorders nerves is a complication of DM with symptoms of skin numbness will resulting decrease in sensitivity to wounds. Severity of diabetic foot wound can be affected by factors of knowledge and intake of nutrients such as protein, vitamins A, C, B12, iron, calcium. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between knowledge (risk of injury) and dietary compliance (vitamin B12 intake) with the severity of foot wounds in DM patients. The research employed a cross-sectional method with sampling technique is total sampling and sample is total sample who visited the clinic for 3 months during the study. The data obtained were analyzed using Spearman's non-parametric correlation. The findings of this study were obtained by 15 samples with the most level of knowledge (risk of injury) belonging to the sufficient category, dietary compliance (vitamin B12 intake) was mostly in the category of less or non-adherent, and the severity of foot wounds in DM patients is mostly grade 1. Spearman's correlation test result showed that the p value = 0,444 (p > 0,05), there is no significant relationship between knowledge (injury risk) and the severity of diabetic foot wounds in DM patients, as well as p value = 0,433 (p > 0,05), there is no significant relationship between dietary compliance (vitamin B12 intake) and the severity of diabetic foot wounds in DM patients. The conclusion is there is no significant relationship between knowledge (injury risk) and dietary compliance (vitamin B12 intake) with the severity of diabetic foot wounds in DM patients.
