Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Brawijaya. Pembimbing: Muh. Fatoni Rohman, S.Pd., M.Pd. Kata Kunci: Konflik Sosial, Novel, Sosiologi Sastra Novel Orang-Orang Oetimu menggambarkan bagaimana kehidupan masyarakat di Timor Timur yang tidak terlepas dari berbagai macam konflik di dalamnya. Novel ini memberikan pengetahuan bagaimana negara, agama, dan masyarakat memiliki perannya masing-masing dalam terjadinya suatu konflik. Penelitian pada novel Orang-Orang Oetimu karya Felix K. Nesi ini akan mendeskripsikan (1) Bentuk Konflik Sosial, (2) Penyebab Konflik Sosial, dan (3) Dampak Konflik Sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Sumber data adalah novel Orang-Orang Oetimu karya Felix K. Nesi yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2019 oleh penerbit Marjin Kiri. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara (1) Membaca novel Orang-Orang Oetimu karya Felix K. Nesi, (2) Memberikan tanda pada data, (3) Memetakan data sesuai dengan tabel penjaring data, (4) Menganalisis hasil temuan, dan (5) Mendeskripsikan hasil temuan. Hasil dari analisis novel Orang-Orang Oetimu adalah (1) Bentuk konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel terdiri dari konflik realistis dan konflik non realistis. Konflik realistis meliputi, perebutan kekuasaan, perebutan wilayah, dan konflik yang terjadi akibat tuntutan terhadap suatu keadilan. Konflik non realistis meliputi konflik agama, konflik kambing hitam, dan konflik balas dendam, (2) Tiga pihak yang menyebabkan konflik, yaitu masyarakat, pemerintah, dan militer, dan (3) Dampak konflik sosial di golongkan menjadi empat, yaitu kerugian korban jiwa dan harta benda, hancurnya kelompok kesatuan, hancurnya nilai dan norma sosial, serta perubahan individu. Peristiwa dalam novel digambarkan oleh Felix K. Nesi saling berkaitan dan menjelaskan bagaimana bentuk konflik, penyebab konflik, serta dampak konflik yang terjadi pada wilayah Timor Timur.

Keywords: Social Conflict, Novel, Sociology of Literature The Orang-Orang Oetimu novel describes how people's lives in East Timor are inseparable from the various conflicts within it. This novel provides insight into how the state, religion, and society have their respective roles in the occurrence of a conflict. This research on the novel Orang-Orang Oetimu by Felix K. Nesi will describe (1) Forms of Social Conflict, (2) Causes of Social Conflict, and (3) The Impact of Social Conflict. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a sociology of literature approach. The data source is the Orang-Orang Oetimu novel by Felix K. Nesi which was published in 2019 by the publisher Marjin Kiri. The technique used is a literature study technique. Data analysis techniques were carried out by (1) reading the Orang Orang Oetimu novel by Felix K. Nesi, (2) marking the data, (3) mapping the data according to the data filter table, (4) analyzing the findings, and (5 ) Describing the findings. The results of the analysis of the Orang-Orang Oetimu novel are that (1) The forms of social conflict in the novel consist of realistic conflicts and non-realistic conflicts. Realistic conflicts include the struggle for power, the struggle for territory, and conflicts that occur as a result of demands for justice. Non-realistic conflicts include religious conflicts, scapegoat conflicts, and revenge conflicts, (2) Three parties that cause conflict, namely the community, government, and military, and (3) The impact of social conflict is classified into four, namely loss of life and loss of life. property, the destruction of unitary groups, the destruction of social values and norms, and individual changes. The events in the novel are described by Felix K. Nesi as interrelated and explain how the form of conflict, the causes of the conflict, and the impact of the conflict on the territory of East Timor.
