Abstract
Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) merupakan penyakit menular yang menyerang sistem pernafasan yang disebabkan oleh virus SARS-CoV- 2. Virus ini telah mengalami beberapa kali mutasi sehingga menghasilkan beragam varian sehingga kasus pada penularan virus ini semakin meningkat seiring berjalannya waktu. Pasien yang terinfeksi COVID-19 mengalami abnormalitas pada sistem imun, seperti peningkatan monosit, NLR, neutrofil, dan penurunan limfosit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara peningkatan jumlah monosit dan peningkatan NLR pada pasien COVID-19 derajat sedang dan berat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik retrospektif pada pasien COVID-19 derajat sedang dan berat di Rumah Sakit Wava Husada Kepanjen, Malang pada periode Juni hingga Agustus 2021. Subjek penelitian menggunakan 50 data rekam medis laboratorium pasien yang memiliki jumlah monosit dan NLR. Pada uji korelasi Spearman diperoleh korelasi antara jumlah monosit dan NLR adalah 0,238. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat korelasi lemah yang searah antara jumlah monosit dan NLR pada pasien COVID-19 derajat sedang dan berat di Rumah Sakit Wava Husada Kepanjen, Malang. R
English Abstract
Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory system caused by the SARS-CoV-2. This virus has undergone several mutations resulting in various variants and causing an increase in virus transmission cases over time. Patients infected with COVID- 19 commonly experience hemostatic abnormalities in the form of increased monocytes count, NLR, and neutrophil levels, decreased lymphocytes. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between an increase in monocytes count and NLR in COVID-19 patients. This research was a retrospective analytic observational study conducted on moderate and severe COVID-19 patients in Wava Husada Hospital Kepanjen, Malang during the period June to August 2021. The research subjects consisted of 50 laboratory medical records of patients that had data on monocyte count and NLR. The Spearman correlation test resulted in between monocyte count and NLR was 0,238. The conclusion of this study is that there is a low positive correlation between the number of monocytes and NLR in moderate and severe COVID- 19 patients at Wava Husada Kepanjen Hospital.
