Abstract
Tomat cherry (Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura dari famili Solanaceae yang diusahakan oleh petani di Indonesia. Tomat cherry biasa dimanfaatkan untuk konsumsi segar maupun diolah menjadi berbagai olahan. Tomat cherry merupakan tanaman yang multiguna dan memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Budidaya tomat cherry mengedepankan hasil dan kualitas, dimana budidayanya sering menggunakan sistem hidroponik. Pada sistem hidroponik suplai nutrisi dapat diatur sesuai kebutuhan tanaman. Ketersediaan nutrisi menjadi faktor yang penting untuk peningkatan hasil dan kualitas tanaman. KNO3 merupakan salah satu pupuk yang dibutuhkan oleh tanaman dalam jumlah banyak karena mengandung unsur hara makro. Kalium merupakan unsur nutrisi yang diberikan kepada tanaman untuk memperbaiki kualitas buah baik rasa maupun ukuran buah, meningkatkan produksi buah, dan nilai gizi buah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi penambahan KNO3 yang memberikan pengaruh paling baik terhadap hasil dan kualitas tomat cherry. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari hingga Juni 2023 bertempat di green house hidroponik Fakultas Pertanian, Universtas Brawijaya, Kota Malang. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan penambahan KNO3 dengan berbagai konsentrasi, yang terdiri atas 5 level perlakuan sebagai berikut: A : kontrol tanpa penambahan KNO3, B : 2 g/l, C : 6 g/l, D : 10 g/l, dan E : 14 g/l. Percobaan ini terdapat 5 perlakuan yang masingmasing menggunakan 5 ulangan sehingga terdapat 25 satuan perlakuan. Pada setiap ulangan terdapat 25 tanaman, sehingga total populasi tanaman adalah 120 tanaman. Variabel pertumbuhan pada tanaman tomat cherry meliputi panjang tanaman, jumlah daun majemuk, luas daun, jumlah cabang per tanaman, dan diameter batang. Variabel pengamatan panen meliputi jumlah buah per tanaman, diameter buah, bobot buah per tanaman, bobot buah per buah, dan kadar gula terlarut. Data yang diperoleh diuji dengan analisis ragam untuk Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan uji F pada taraf nyata 5%. Jika hasil dari uji F berbeda nyata maka dilakukan uji perbandingan menggunakan Uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) dengan signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan KNO3 berpengaruh terhadap jumlah daun majemuk, luas daun, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah, bobot buah per tanaman, bobot buah per buah, diameter buah, dan kadar gula terlarut pada buah. Penambahan KNO3 10 g/l dan 14 g/l memberikan hasil yang lebih baik daripada perlakuan lain pada jumlah daun majemuk, luas daun, jumlah cabang, jumlah buah, bobot buah per buah, bobot buah per tanaman, kadar gula terlarut, dan diameter buah. Penambahan KNO3 14 g/l memberikan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata terhadap 10 g/l, sehingga untuk efektivitas dapat dipilih konsentrasi 10 g/l.
English Abstract
Cherry tomato (Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme) is one of the horticultural commodity from the Solanaceae cultivated by Indonesian farmers. Cherry tomatoes are usually used for fresh consumption or processed into various dishes. Cherry tomatoes are a multipurpose crop and have high economic value. Cherry tomato cultivation prioritizes yield and quality, where the cultivation often uses a hydroponic system. In a hydroponic system the supply of nutrients can be adjusted according to the needs of the plants. Availability of nutrients is an important factor for increasing crop yields and quality. KNO3 is one of the fertilizers needed by plants in large quantities because it contains macronutrients. Potassium is a nutritional element given to plants to improve fruit quality both taste and fruit size, increase fruit production, and fruit nutritional value.The purpose of the research is to determine the concentration of KNO3 addition which has the best effect on the yield and quality of cherry tomatoes. The research was conducted from February to June 2023 at the hydroponic green house of the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University, Malang City. The research was conducted using a randomized block design (RBD) with the addition of KNO3 with various concentrations, which consisted of 5 treatment levels as follows: A: control without the addition of KNO3, B: 2 g/l, C: 6 g/l, D: 10 g/l , and E : 14 g/l. In this experiment there were 5 treatments, each of which used 5 repetitions so that there were 25 treatment units. In each repetition there are 25 plants, so that the total plant population is 120 plants. Growth variables in cherry tomato plants include plant length, number of compound leaves, leaf area, number of branches per plant, and stem diameter. Harvest observation variables included the number of fruits per plant, fruit diameter, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, and dissolved sugar content in the fruit. The data obtained were then tested by analysis of variance for a randomized block design (RBD) with the F test at 5% significance level. If the results of the F test are significantly different, a comparison test is carried out using the Honest Significant Difference Test (BNJ) with a significance of 5%. The results showed that the addition of KNO3 affected the number of compound leaves, leaf area, number of branches, number of fruits, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit diameter, and dissolved sugar content in the fruit. The addition of KNO3 10 g/l and 14 g/l gave better results than any other treatment on the number of compound leaves, leaf area, number of branches, number of fruits, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant dissolved sugar content, and fruit diameter. The addition of 14 g/l KNO3 gave results that were not significantly different from 10 g/l, so for effectiveness a concentration of 10 g/l could be chosen.
