Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya penurunan jumlah guru tersertifikasi dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun terakhir mulai 2019 hingga 2021 di Dinas Pendidikan Kota Batu. Sertifikasi guru merupakan sebuah upaya yang digunakan oleh pemerintah dalam meningkatkan kualitas guru dan meningkatkan kinerjanya. Disisi lain, kinerja guru dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya yaitu rendahnya motivasi individu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1) mengetahui gambaran kinerja guru, motivasi berprestasi, dan sertifikasi guru, 2) mengetahui pengaruh sertifikasi terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kota Batu, 3) mengetahui pengaruh motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kota Batu, 4) mengetahui pengaruh sertifikasi guru dan motivasi berprestasi secara simultan terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kota Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis regresi berganda yang diolah menggunakan program SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) variabel Sertifikasi Guru (X1) berpengaruh positif secara parsial terhadap Kinerja Guru. Besar pengaruhnya ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien determinasi R Square (X1) sebesar 39,6, 2) variabel Motivasi Berprestasi (X2) berpengaruh positif secara parsial terhadap Kinerja Guru. Besar pengaruhnya ditunjukkan oleh koefisien determinasi R Square (X2) sebesar 57,1, 3) variabel Sertifikasi Guru dan Motivasi Kerja Guru secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap Kinerja Guru.

English Abstract

This research is motivated by a decrease in the number of certified teachers in the last three years from 2019 to 2021 at the Batu City Education Office. Teacher certification is an effort used by the government to improve the quality of teachers and improve their performance. On the other hand, teacher performance can be influenced by several factors, such as low motivation. The purpose of this research are 1) to know the description of teacher performance, achievement motivation, and teacher certification, 2) to know the effect of teacher certification on the performance of public junior high school teachers in Batu City, 3) to know the effect of achievement motivation on the performance of public junior high school teachers in Batu City, 4) to know the effect of teacher certification and achievement motivation simultaneously on the performance of public junior high school teachers in Batu City. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. While the method in this research uses the survey method. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and studying documentation. The data analysis technique in this research uses simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis which is processed using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this research indicate that 1) the Teacher Certification variable (X1) has a partial positive effect on Teacher Performance. The effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R Square (X1) of 39.6%, 2) the Achievement Motivation variable (X2) has a partial positive effect on Teacher Performance. The effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R Square (X2) of 57.1%, 3) the variable Teacher Certification and Teacher Work Motivation simultaneously has a positive effect on Teacher Performance. The effect is shown by the coefficient of determination R Square of 60.9%.
