Abstract
Pandemi Covid-19 telah tersebar di pelosok indonesia. Tingginya tingkat penyebaran Covid-19 menyebabkan pemerintah menerapkan kebijakan sekolah dari rumah yang menghaurskan menggunakan gadget. Penggunaan gadget yang tidak terkontrol dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan mental dan sosial pada anak dan remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat adanya hubungan penggunaan gadget dengan kondisi kesehatan mental dan sosial pada anak dan remaja selama 2 tahun pandemi Covid-19. Rancangan penelitiannya yaitu cross section. Respondennya adalah 92 siswa SD Bareng 2 dan 165 siswa SMP 19 Malang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Kuesioner Modifikasi Tingkat Penggunaan Gadget dan Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) Pediatrik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan gadget dengan kondisi kesehatan mental dan sosial pada anak dan remaja selama 2 tahun pandemi Covid-19. Hubungan kedua variable yaitu anak dan remaja menunjukkan hasil negatif dan tidak searah yang bermakna semakin tinggi penggunaan gadget maka semakin buruk kondisi kesehatan mental dan sosial anak sekolah selama pandemi Covid-19. Jadi kesimpulannya terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan gadget dengan kondisi kesehatan mental dan sosial pada anak di SD 2 Bareng dan remaja di SMP 19 Malang selama 2 tahun pandemi Covid-19. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini yaitu perlu melakukan skrining tentang kesehatan mental dan sosial secara teratur setiap 6 bulan sekali.
English Abstract
The pandemic of Covid-19 has spread in Indonesia. Not only adults are affected by Covid-19 but children and adolescents too. The high rate of Covid-19 spread has caused the government to implement a school-from-home policy that requires the use of gadgets. Uncontrolled use of gadgets can cause mental health and social problems in children and adolescents. This study aims to see the relationship between the use of gadgets and mental and social health conditions in children and adolescents during the 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design is cross section. Respondents were 92 students from SD Bareng 2 and 165 students from SMP 19 Malang. Data collection used a Modification Questionnaire on Gadget Usage Levels and Pediatric Patient- Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS). The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between the use of gadgets and mental and social health conditions in children and adolescents during the 2 years of the pandemic of Covid-19. The relationship between the two variables, namely children and adolescents, shows negative results and is not in the same direction, which means that the higher the use of gadgets, the worse the mental and social health conditions of school children during the Covid-19 pandemic. So in conclusion there is a relationship between the use of gadgets and mental and social health conditions in children at SD 2 Bareng and adolescents at SMP 19 Malang during the 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic. The recommendation from this study is that it is necessary to carry out screening on mental and social health regularly every 6 months.
