Abstract
Bertambahnya penduduk, industri, dan berkembangnya kota-kota yang dilalui aliran Sungai Brantas jika tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat berdampak terhadap menurunnya kualitas air. Pengelolaan kualitas air sungai dengan melakukan pemantauan kualitas air secara berkala, penetapan daya tampung beban pencemaran, dan penerapan baku mutu air. Studi ini menggunakan permodelan kualitas air dengan menggunakan Program QUAL2Kw pada lokasi studi Jembatan Pendem sampai Jembatan Parseh Jaya untuk menganalisa kondisi mutu air, beban pencemaran, serta perhitungan daya tampung beban pencemaran. Hasil analisa didapatkan bahwa kondisi kualitas air Sungai Brantas melebihi baku mutu air kelas II yaitu BOD dan COD, dengan beban pencemaran terbesar terdapat pada segmen 2 (Jembatan Splendid-Jembatan Kol.Sugiono) yaitu BOD sebesar 9932.4 kg/hari, COD sebesar 35109.1 kg/hari, dan Nitrat 5144.1 kg/hari. Daya tampung beban pencemaran terbesar terdapat pada segmen 2 yaitu BOD sebesar 327.7 kg/hari dan COD sebesar 1576.0 kg/hari. Prediksi kualitas air Sungai Brantas pada tahun 2026 berdasarkan perhitungan trend polynomial mengalami penurunan pada parameter BOD sebesar (-4.56)% dan kenaikan pada parameter COD sebesar 4.16% namun diprediksi masih melebihi baku mutu air kelas 2 pada BOD sebesar 6.5 -8.3 mg/l dan COD sebesar 24.89 – 26.88 mg/l.
English Abstract
The increase in population, industry, and the development of cities through which the Brantas River flows if not managed properly can have an impact on the decline in water quality. Management of river water quality by conducting regular water, quality monitoring, determining pollution load capacity, and implementing water quality standards. This study uses water quality modeling using the QUAL2Kw Program at the Pendem Bridge to Parseh Jaya Bridge study location to analysis the condition of water quality, pollution load, and calculation of pollution load capacity. The results of the analysis found that the condition of Brantas River water quality exceeds class II water quality standards, namely BOD and COD, with the largest pollution load found in segment 2 (Splendid Bridge - Kol.Sugiono Bridge), namely BOD of 9932.4 kg/day, COD of 35109.1 kg/day, and Nitrate 5144.1 kg/day. The largest pollution load capacity is in segment 2, namely BOD of 327.7 kg/day and COD of 1576.0 kg/day. Predictions of Brantas River water quality in 2026 based on polynomial trend calculations decreased in the BOD parameter by (-4.56)% and increased in the COD parameter by 4.16% but are predicted to still exceed class 2 water quality standards in BOD by 6.5-8.3 mg/l and COD by 24.89 - 26.88 mg/l..
