Abstract

Salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang banyak dikonsumsi di Indonesia adalah buncis (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Permasalahan timbul akibat peluang serta potensi buncis yang tidak diiringi dengan produksinya yang stabil. Konsumsi terus meningkat namun produksi buncis mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2018 mencapai 304.431 ton dan pada tahun 2019 turun menjadi 299.310 ton. Salah satu penyebab penurunan produksi adalah adanya gulma yang mampu menurunkan kualitas dan kuantitas panen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mempelajari pengaruh perbedaan metode pengendalian gulma terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil buncis tegak. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jl. Tirto Sari, Kelurahan Landungsari, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2023-Mei 2023. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah mulsa plastik hitam perak, knapsack sprayer, timbangan analitik, tali rafia, alat tulis, meteran, LAM (Leaf Area Meter), amplop, oven, dan kamera. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian antara lain benih buncis tegak varietas Balitsa-1, herbisida oksifluorfen, mulsa jerami, insektisida karbofuran, pupuk NPK 15:15:15, dan pupuk kandang. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan RAK dengan perlakuan terdiri dari P0 = kontrol (bergulma),P1 = bebas gulma, P2 = Herbisida oksifluorfen 240 g b a ha-1, P3= Herbisida oksifluorfen 360 g b a ha-1, P4= Herbisida oksifluorfen 240 g b a ha- 1 + mulsa jerami, P5= Herbisida oksifluorfen 360 g b a ha-1 + mulsa jerami, P6= Herbisida oksifluorfen 240 g b a ha-1 + penyiangan 15 HST, P7= Herbisida oksifluorfen 360 g b a ha-1 + penyiangan 30 HST, dan P8= Penyiangan 15 + 30 HST. Pengamatan gulma terdiri dari perhitungan summed dominance ratio (SDR), berat kering gulma, efisiensi pengendalian gulma, dan indeks gulma. Pengamatan pertumbuhan buncis terdiri dari tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, dan jumlah bunga. Pengamatan hasil buncis terdiri dari jumlah polong, panjang polong, berat polong, dan hasil panen. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh perbedaan metode pengendalian gulma terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil buncis tegak. Metode pengendalian gulma terbaik yang dapat diterapkan untuk budidaya buncis tegak adalah aplikasi herbisida oksifluorfen 240 g b a ha-1 dan mulsa jerami. Perlakuan tersebut memiliki hasil panen 14,92 ton lebih tinggi 65,59% dibanding kontrol. Metode pengendalian gulma tersebut terbukti dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan, menurunkan bobot kering gulma, dan terbukti efisien dari sisi ekonomi dinilai dari tingginya nilai R/C ratio.SUMMARY

English Abstract

One of the horticultural commodities that is widely consumed in Indonesia is common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Problems arise due to the opportunities and potential of common beans that are not accompanied by a stable production. Consumption continues to increase but production of common bean decreased in 2018 reaching 304,431 tons and in 2019 it fell to 299,310 tons. One of the causes of decreased production is the presence of weeds which can reduce the quality and quantity of yield. The aim of this study is to study the effect of different weed control methods on the growth and yield of common beans. The research was conducted on Jl. Tirto Sari, Landungsari Village, Dau District, Malang Regency. The research was conducted from February 2023-May 2023. The tools used in the research were silver black plastic mulch, knapsack sprayer, analytical scales, raffia rope, stationery, tape measure, LAM (Leaf Area Meter), envelopes, oven and camera. Materials used in the study included upright bean seeds of the Balitsa-1 variety, oxyfluorfen herbicide, straw mulch, carbofuran insecticide, NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer, and manure. Research was conducted using RAK with treatment consisted of P0 = control (weedy), P1 = weed free, P2 = 240 g oxyfluorfen herbicide a.i ha-1, P3 = 360 g oxyfluorfen herbicide a.i ha-1, P4 = 240 g oxyfluorfen herbicide a.i ha-1 + straw mulch, P5= Oxyfluorfen herbicide 360 g a.i ha-1 + straw mulch, P6= Oxyfluorfen herbicide 240 g a.i ha-1 + weeding 15 HST, P7= Oxyfluorfen herbicide 360 g a.i ha-1 + weeding 30 HST , and P8 = Weeding 15 + 30 HST. Observation of weeds consists of calculating the summed dominance ratio (SDR), weed dry weight, weed control efficiency, and weed index. Observation of the growth of bean consists of plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, and number of flowers. Observations on bean yields consisted of the number of pods, pod length, pod weight, and yield. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that there is an effect of different weed control methods on the growth and yield of common beans. The best weed control method that can be applied for upright bean cultivation is the application of 240 g oxyfluorfen herbicide b a ha-1 and straw mulch. This treatment had a yield of 14,92 tonnes higher 65,59% than the control. This weed control method is proven to be able to increase growth, reduce weed dry weight, and prove to be efficient from an economic standpoint, judging by the high value of the R/C ratio. .
