Abstract

Tanaman pegagan (Centella asiatica) merupakan tanaman herbal yang tumbuh di daerah tropis seperti Indonesia. Kandungan kimia aktif pada tanaman pegagan yaitu saponin, tanin, terpenoid, flavonoid, alkaloid dan minyak atsiri telah banyak digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pestisida nabati untuk mengurangi penggunaan pestisida kimia dalam mengendalikan walang sangit. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk menguji keefektifan dari tanaman pegagan terhadap mortalitas hama walang sangit. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli – Oktober 2021. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Toksikologi, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan. Konsentrasi yang digunakan yaitu 0%, 25% 25%, 50% dan 75%. Pengamatan yang dilakukan yaitu pengamatan mortalitas/perlakuan, waktu mortalitas, LC50 dan LT50. Data Hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam dan apabila hasil analisis menunjukkan hasil berbeda nyata, maka akan dilakukan uji lanjut pada taraf singnifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ekstrak pegagan dapat menyebabkan mortalitas pada hama walang sangit. Ekstrak pegagan pada konsentrasi 75% menyebabkan mortalitas tertinggi dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi kontrol 25%, dan 50%. Rata-rata waktu kematian awal pada ekstrak pegagan terjadi pada konsentrasi 75% yaitu 17 jam. Pada ekstrak pegagan nilai LC50 dan LC90 tertinggi terjadi pada konsentrasi 75% yaitu 251.189 ppm dan 2.249 ppm. Nilai LT50 dan LT90 tertinggi terjadi pada konsentrasi 75% yaitu 19.433 dan 39.408. Estrak pegagan belum efektif menimbulkan mortalitas pada walang sangit dengan rata-rata mortalitas sebesar 40% yang termasuk kedalam kategori aktivitas agak lemah dan sedang.

English Abstract

Gotu kola (Centella asiatica) is an herbal plant that grows in tropical areas such as Indonesia. The active chemical constituents of gotu kola are saponins, tannins, terpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids and essential oils have been widely used as raw materials for making vegetable pesticides to reduce the use of chemical pesticides in controlling stink bugs. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of gotu kola on the mortality of the Rice Bug (Leptocorisa acuta). The research was carried out from July to October 2021. The research was carried out at the Toxicology Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of four treatments with three replications. The concentrations used were 0%, 25% 25%, 50% and 75%. The observations made were observation of mortality/treatment, time of mortality, LC50 and LT50. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if the results of the analysis showed significantly different results, further tests would be carried out at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the application of gotu kola extract could cause mortality in the rice bug. Centella asiatica extract at a concentration of 75% caused the highest mortality compared to control concentrations of 25% and 50%. The average initial death time for gotu kola extract occurred at a concentration of 75%, which was 17 hours. The LC50 value of Centella asiatica extract and LC90 the highest occurred at a concentration of 75%, namely 251,189 ppm and 2,249 ppm. LT value50 and LT90 the highest occurred at a concentration of 75%, namely 19,433 and 39,408. Centella asiatica extract at all concentrations has not been effective in causing a mortality of 50% in stink bugs with an average mortality of 40% which is included in the rather weak and moderate activity category.
