Abstract
RINGKASAN Rd. Febrian Nurrizal. 185040201111153. Sehingga terdapat 12 plot percobaan.
English Abstract
SUMMARY Rd. Febrian Nurrizal. 185040201111153. Effect of Share and Dosage of Urea Fertilizer on Growth and Production of Stevia. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatik Wardiyati, MS. and Dr. Mochammad Roviq, SP., MP. The stevia plant is an alternative natural sweetener that is widely used as a substitute for conventional cane sugar because it contains steviosides and rebaudiosides, substances that give a sweet taste 300 times higher than the sucrose content in sugarcane. Efforts to increase the production of stevia plants can be conducted by providing nutrients that support the vegetative growth of stevia plants, called nitrogen fertilizers. Apart from applying nitrogen fertilizer, other efforts that can be made to increase the production of stevia plants are carried out by providing different shading. The study compared plants with no shade, 30% shade and 60% shade and doses of urea fertilizer 0% (control), 50% (0,61 g), 100% (1,23 g) and 150% (1,84 g) / polybags. There were 12 experimental plots. This treat was conducted with 3 replication. The hypothesis of this study is that there is an interaction between urea fertilizer application and shading, there was also an optimum dose of urea fertilizer and the best shade. This research was carried out using a split plot design method, namely the shade factor and the dose of urea fertilizer. Observation of plant growth consisted of plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, Fresh weight leaf, leaf dry weight and dissolved solids content (°Brix). Observational data were analyzed with ANOVA at 5% level and continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at 5% level if the ANOVA test results were significantly different. The results of the existing analysis of variance showed that there were different results in the shade treatment in the observation of plant height at 20 – 50 DAP. In the treatment of urea fertilizer doses, plant height was significantly different at 20, 40 50 and 60 DAP. In observing the number of leaves, the urea fertilizer treatment showed significantly different results at 20 – 60 DAP. The shading treatment on the observation of the number of leaves obtained significantly different results at the age of 20 - 50 DAP. Shade treatment at 20 - 50 DAP on leaf area observations obtained significantly different results. Whereas in the urea fertilizer treatment, significantly different results were obtained at 20 – 60 DAP. The results of the analysis of variance also showed that the shading treatment observed leaf fresh weight was significantly different at 40, 50 and 60 DAP, whereas in the urea fertilizer treatment the leaf dry weight observation was significantly different at all ages of observation. In observing the dissolved solids content (°Brix) for both the shading treatment and urea fertilizer were significantly different at 40 and 50 DAP.
