Abstract

Memenangkan persaingan antar pesaing atau bertahan di tengah persaingan bagi suatu perusahaan adalah hal yang sangat penting. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut diperlukan keunggulan kompetitif yang kuat. Keunggulan kompetitif dapat diciptakan melalui proses inovasi yang didukung oleh kemampuan inovasi perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, konsep tata kelola perusahaan diusulkan untuk memaksimalkan sumber daya perusahaan dalam mendukung kemampuan inovasi tambahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tata kelola perusahaan terhadap kapabilitas inovasi perusahaan di Pasar Saham Indonesia. Penelitian ini menganalisis 103 perusahaan tercatat sebagai sampel. Metode eksplanatori dengan pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik nonprobability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang dianalisis dengan metode Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tata kelola perusahaan yang diproksikan oleh dewan direksi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kapabilitas inovasi perusahaan yang diproksikan oleh departemen dan aktivitas penelitian dan pengembangan, tingkat pertumbuhan aset tidak berwujud, dan pertumbuhan penjualan. Analisis PLS menunjukkan koefisien jalur sebesar 0,263 dan nilai t-statistik sebesar 5,163. Nilai t-statistik >1,96 menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh antar variabel terbukti signifikan

English Abstract

Winning the competition among the competitors or surviving in the middle of the competition for a company is essential. Achieving those purposes required a strong competitive advantage. The competitive advantage can be created through an innovation process that is supported by the company’s innovation capability. Hence, the concept of corporate governance is proposed to maximize company resources in supporting the incremental innovation capability. This study aims to determine the effect of corporate governance on the company’s innovation capability in the Indonesian Stock Market. This study analyzes 103 listed companies as a sample. Explanatory method with a quantitative approach is used in this research. Nonprobability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method is used in this study. The data that is analyzed in this study is secondary data that is analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The result of this study shows that corporate governance that is proxied by the board of directors has a significant effect on a company's innovation capability that is proxied by the research and development department and activity, growth rate of intangible assets, and sales growth. PLS analysis shows path coefficients of 0.263 and t-statistic value of 5.163. The value of t-statistic >1.96 indicates that the influence between variables was proved significant.
